Dynaudio Heritage + Gold Note IS-1000 Deluxe I had the smaller Lyngdorf 2170 with the Contour 20s for a while. Not enough power. Ran out of juice quick. Same amp sounded amazing with Tekton DIs. Maybe the more powerful 3400 would have enough.
Can you give me your speaker suggestions? The only time I heard the Reference brand. It was a few months ago when demoing some other speakers from a local seller. He had as a main speaker the Reflector I believe it was. The 12k version of the De cappo kinda ?? I will say it was DAMN impre...
Dynaudio Heritage + Gold Note IS-1000 Deluxe I’ve had Focus 140s and Contour 20s. Odyssey Audio amps worked really well. Lyngdorf integrated ran out of juice really quick on the Contours. Wish I could have heard them with a more beefy amp. i did hear some Contour 60s with an Octave V110 or ...
Dynaudio Heritage + Gold Note IS-1000 Deluxe I would look for something that truly doubles its power into 4 ohms. The specs on this don’t even give a 4 ohm rating that I can see in the spec list. that said would probably be ok but maybe not ideal.
Can you give me your speaker suggestions? Diy is an option for sure although I wouldn’t know which one to suggest. If you like the live detailed sound of the Klipsch but want more meat in the bones and an easier listen Tekton is really good and can be pushed by about anything with differ...
Question about wpc on tube amps There’s a Jolida Fusion Tube preamp on the other free audio site. I would offer $600. Lots of bang for the buck.
Is it possible for a high end manufacturer to overprice their goods? Nope speakers are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars obviously! As well as amps, 20k + power and speaker cables etc.
Question about wpc on tube amps Something about EL 34 amps with the right speaker is Nice! I tried my 50wpc integrated Tube with my hog BW 801 Matrix. Sounded great till just above talking level then fell completely apart.
Question about wpc on tube amps IME tube preamp gets you most of the way there with much more power available.
The most tower like stand mount under $4k Well probably a 3 way would be closest to the norm tower speaker. Little less bass because of cabinet volume etc. KEF has one I believe, Tekton Impact Monitor, Paradigm S4 (older) but kick ass, I think Salk makes one. uhhh I’m sure there’s more ...
Digital Dilemma The Holo Red streamer looks interesting for under a grand. Also includes a ddc and I2S output.
Bass only when I stand up… Bass is more non directional. When you stand up the mids and highs are going to be potentially much less. Think that could have anything to do with less perceived bass from standing?
Krell KSA 200s with BW Matrix I do really really like the amp even though I have a weird grounding issue going on I haven’t figured out. Just have all the components hooked up in the chain to the amp on cheater plugs. Tons of power, slamming bass, great tube like mid range to ...
Thinking about selling my Vincent 737 I agree with Russ above. Your integrated is fairly powerful and really well reviewed. I would look at speakers 1st then look at a new amp later if you still feel the need to do so.
New KEF R11 META : The Real Giant Killers ! I think a lot of it has to do with: 1. Too many cooks in the kitchen and voices of the final outcome. Nitpicking every cost saving measure and profit maximizing they can. 2. Dealer markup is number one by far. Which is totally justified but is ... |
