It looks like a debate to me.
If you could not open the link to read the topic at hand....why comment?  Seems pretty silly to say anything if you don't know what the conversation is about.   Like you just did? Because, turns out while my work PC wouldn't let me access it m...
I need to upgrade my amp but it sounds really good. (Wife in corner shaking her head)
My amp cost less than the speaker cables and interconnect connected to it. Less than the phono stage. Less than the cartridge. It cost more than its power cord, and the Dayton sub amps, but that's about it. I have way more in tweaks than the amp. ...

mmmmm Mike said pork belly! Reminds me, I do love to cook. Barbecue, stove top. Not much for baking. Roasting, yes. Baking, not so much. Ribeye, pork belly, will be on the Traeger tonight!
StylusTimer
I tried that for a while. Turned out the total elapsed time I was able to tolerate listening to discs was zero. So now I just play records. When they sound good I play more. But they always sound good.
Such hard decisions :D Anyone with some insight on Amp Selection?
You could have a nice system there if only you would ditch multi-channel HT and embrace stereo. There are lots of great stereo amps, and the same money buys a lot more quality split two ways than three, four, or five. Home Theater done right. Thin...

From vaguely confusing to clearly alienating, in record time! Never fear, I do not take it as an insult. How could I, when its so patently false?! Especially now the pattern emerges so clearly. Its a total lack of reading comprehension. So fuzztone...
Mid Morning Listening Sessions - Sounds the Best
There's no doubt about it, the best sound is late at night when the system has been on and running for hours. Depending on exactly what you are talking about I may be the wrong person to ask, however. Because it doesn't matter what day or time it ...
Finally bought a new Turntable!
Listen to chakster and mijostyn, especially about experimenting with impedance loading. Your comment about needing to turn it up to get the same impact at lower volume could well be due to loading. With high impedance loading of 47k for example th...
Vinyl vs. top-notch digital
My point stands, when a DAC is really good it's described as "analog sounding" (MSB, Lampizator, Aqua, etc). Sounding analog for a DAC is the ultimate compliment. Sounding digital for a turntable is the ultimate insult. Right. Them's fightin...
The shams, scams and dead ends of the High Fidelity hobbie/passion/adiction
+1 Millercarbon! That stuff is like the Goop products Gweneth Paltrow flogs to the brainless Yes and by what a coincidence, Gweneth Paltrow is as much a theoretical physicist as gk.

geoffkait: Needling Freudian slip. A rare moment of truth and relevance. Its been reported you are on a mission to irritate and make fun of audiophiles. Nice to see you admit it for once.  The question however is what other interests you may have....

Can't follow the link, not here at work anyway. Your post is clear as mud. It seems to imply you are more interested in hearing from people with a profit motive than disinterested enthusiasts. A questionable approach but we all have our quirks and...
Small space listening room
https://systems.audiogon.com/systems/8367  Look real close and read the descriptions. Also have some full length reviews of ECT, HFT, and PHT. That's in addition to the stuff from Pritchard and others here, how I got clued into them in the first p...
Nobsound Record Clamp
A good record clamp is hard to find. Still happy with mine after all these years. It screws down with a simple brass thread insert. https://systems.audiogon.com/systems/8367 Thanks to your post about FoQ tape I got some and taped around the outer ...
