What rock song sounds the best on your system...
Sorry, Joshua Tree is good enough I can't stop thinking about this. Had to add on.... Seriously. The early tracks, Where the Streets Have No Name the organ is deep ominous and powerful. Dynamics are impressive, there's never any edge (heh) or grai...

Yeah pretty sure you said that before. You need to find a better copy. Stop wasting your time with digital. Fix your system. Fix their systems. Or whatever. The LP I have is deep and wide and sounds just fine.
How many power supply devices do I need?
What really gets me is all this effort trying to squeeze a tiny little bit from the wrong ideas about power when in the end it all goes into a..... avr.
Are there any tube amps that don't give off any---
No reviews yet, but the amp you seek is the Entropic Anti from Unicorn Audio. It uses tubes hand made in Utopia from pure unobtainium alloy imported from Krypton.
Still confused about clipping after reading all the articles.
Right you are, you completely misunderstand some concepts. A big one is thinking of an amplifier as some kind of sentient being thinking about what it should do. What I don’t understand is why would an amp allow itself to consume more power than...

Your most indispensable "tweak"?
Lotta work for less improvement than a $30 set of Nobsound springs.
What component to upgrade next?
Unless you like the lively thin not quite there Nordost sound you might try Synergistic. Much more full, excellent soundstage and sense of space.  $5k will get you some speaker cables and/or interconnect that will transform your system and redefin...
Need Tubes
Years of buying mostly (6550C and KT88) Sovtek, EH, etc etc my favorite is JJ. Great price, great sound, great reliability.  Always bought from tubestore.com but the worst sounding and least reliable (2 out of 5 blown inside 2 months!) were their ...
Phonostage recommendations under $3K
Used VTPH-2A Good luck. When my search was narrowed down to a few contenders I started looking at used. Never did see a Herron for sale. Saw one that had sold the day it was listed and before I started looking. Then kept looking a good 6 months a...

There is no "isolating". The thing about my humor, once you experience and understand what's going on its the dude's post that's really funny. Seriously. Just plug em in.
Have speakers really improved within the last 20 years??
Question:If there is one measurement that would prove that speakers have indeed got better over the last 20 years, what would it be?kenjit has unwittingly asked a trick question. The answer is no. There isn't one. The trick is, because there can'...
