Using protective discs under brass footers Rockyboy-I got mine from Steve as well. You will love his rack and Steve is a pleasure to work with. Drop me a note if you need any help with assembly or have any questions. Cheers, Mark
Using protective discs under brass footers Rockyboy-I use the platforms for addition isolation since I have 3 components side by side on each shelf. It just happens to work out well that I don't have to worry about those holes in the rack shelves. By the way, what rack did you purchase?
Doge 8 Clarity Outstanding sound and build quality. Mostly vinyl at the time. And just the right amount of controls, inputs and outputs for my needs. I just couldn't take the hissing. I don't remember the hissing at lower volumes, but like I said, my .34 mv cart...
Using protective discs under brass footers I can't believe using those disk's will get the job done that the footers were intended to do. I use maple platforms on my maple shelves with those rubber/ cork isoblocks between them. Then the brass footers on my component dig into the platforms ...
Do You Love Music or Do You Love Hi-Fi? Both. Maybe this should be split into two different hobbies.
Wow, everything posted for sale is ''light use''?? "I once purchased a "very slightly used" 9/10 pair of AKG headphones. Arrived in a shape suggesting they had been abused, permanent rubbing marks and all. This product had gone to hell and back and was a 6/10 at best.Unfortunately, Audiogon never ...
Wow, everything posted for sale is ''light use''?? I have to agree with Viridian that most are true. I have a fair amount of transactions and most all went very well with items as described. I will share this with you that the best items I have received have this somewhere in their ad- "You will n...
Rolling Stone Mag 100 Greatest Guitarists "rolling stone blows. i wouldn't pay much attention to their lists."+1And I don't need a magazine to tell me who the top guitarists are.
How Many Audiophiles Have Do You Know? Good question. I know of no other audiophiles now. But when I was in my younger years (a long time ago) I knew many. A lot of my friends back then were heavily into it.
tube amp not turning on "If the fuse is blown it's probably the fuse"I didn't know that
Service center for sub woofer Thank you for that referral. I didn't take PA into consideration but should have. Has anyone heard of Speaker Saver in Florida? They were recommended by Velodyne themselves. I would remove the speaker from the encloser and ship it to them. I wante...
How a nickel can make a valuable improvement Yes, that is correct.
How a nickel can make a valuable improvement I agree about the Paws (or whatever your using for feet) should be tight up against the table, IMO. I leveled my turntable platform instead. Use fender washers or something in between the feet and table if you must use the feet for leveling, but k...
How do we remember 1970s amplifiers? Good thread. Brings back memories to my Dynaco SCA 80 and then Stereo 300/ Pat 5 mated to my large Advents. Boy did that set up sound good back then.
A personal challenge 2-1/2 packs a day from the age of 16 to 26 years old. Quite cold turkey 31 years ago and was the best thing I ever did. Like Jose says, the urge goes away and lessens as time passes. |
