Once again: Lindsey Buckingham Live
"They couldn't get Michael Bolton or Kenny G?"AF, this time you've gone too far!LB is a way better guitar player than those two!!!Kenny G has the best hair of the three though these days as best I can tell.
Where to go after Bel Canto Ref1000MKII
One of the larger Blue Circle amps might be an interesting option to consider.
When is digital going to get the soul of music?
These days its up to the listener to derive "the soul" from whatever they chose to listen to, not the format. Some will work to achieve it. Others will not. Some will prefer to whine and complain or maybe buy into conspiracy theories no matter. To ...

I can recommend this one:Telarc-Serkin
Is anyone thinking about building Walsh drivers?
Hi Mamboni.Great to hear from you. It's been a while!Mamboni's writings on the various audio sites about the newer OHMs and Walsh drivers in general was largely responsible for my giving the latest generation of OHM Walsh speakers a try a few year...
Where to go after Bel Canto Ref1000MKII
If Nola and Nearfield speakers deliver the sound you like, consider those maybe? The bc should be a good matcn there as well. B&W is a much different design that may never sound like those.
Fuses that matter.
I'm con"fuse"d.
Solid State Pre-Amp: OK to Use With Tube Amp?
Having heard many an amp on Maggies, I would look to a decent 60-80W/ch or better tube amp for best sound with Magnepan. I have heard the Rogue Cronus Magnum integrated for example sound very good, especially with a nicely integrated Rel sub in th...
Mercury Living Presence
MLP and Telarc is an interesting comparison that I am familiar with.I do not think I would ever mistake any recording I have heard on either label for the other. Apples/oranges. I associate Telarc with mostly digitally mastered recordings whereas ...
what is the best sounding speakers for under 5000.
Many good choices mentioned but I am a fan of wide range Walsh drivers in the end and always end up coming back to the OHMs. Depending on room size and new versus used, these might even come in at well under budget but I like the larger 5 or 5000 ...
Where to go after Bel Canto Ref1000MKII
I have heard the Nemo amps running large B&Ws (not sure exact model). No doubt that is a very good pairing that would be hard to beat if the B&W sound is what floats your boat. Larger Mac SS amps seem to be another popular pairing that mig...
Where to go after Bel Canto Ref1000MKII
"I'm assuming these speakers can be taken to a whole different level--big assumption as I've not heard them better, but I've heard only my own pair."What's the basis for that assumption? There may be many reasons why your rig does not sound as good...
Frequency Response?
In general, clipping due to low frequency noise being generated is fairly common with vinyl rigs. With digital, it is practically not really a concern. If speakers are producing poor or unneeded output of actual music signal at lower frequencies,t...
Frequency Response?
Yes there is harm done. It uses a lot of the amps power to reproduce what it can at the lower frequency which can negatively affect the rest of the music and leads to clipping distortions at lower volume than otherwise.
Frequency Response?
Frequency respone specifications are often so generalized that they have very limited value. Some mags like stereophile will do more comprehensive actual measurements of fr and others. Those are more useful in terms of measuring actual performance...
