What is the most important component in your system. I have a newer pair of large OHM Walsh speakers with 12" main driver I am digging as I type. They would be very hard to replace so those I guess.
What are you streaming tonight? Last Boezem by Kayak now Where the River Flows by Collective Soul.Started off with Bach Prelude and Fugue in A Minor played by Anthony Newman on a wonderful sounding VoxBox CD.
OHM Acoustics ‘B2’ electrodynamic speaker That's one I was not aware of but it looks like a mini Ohm I, a model that I have never heard anything bad about and owners seem to covet.
New Tweak --- Its Fantastic Why is everyone so bent out of shape about Wolf?He expresses his opinions on the topic, others express their opinions. It's all just opinions. No tolerance for naysayers just enforces the idea that this is mostly about selling product, not just co...
A way to listen to a large collection In my main system I use Squeezebox Touch to external mhdt Constantine Dac or Squeezepad or Plex app on Ipad to Chord Mojo DAC. I my second smaller system I use Plex app on Amazon Fire TV box to Bel Canto c5i digital integrated amp.
A way to listen to a large collection I rip all cds and convert my records to digital and stream tracks or whole releases randomly. I spend most of my listening time that way. It’s like having your own personally programmed radio station plus no commercials.

Bel canto problems I have BC C5i in a cabinet for several years, no problem.I also have ref1000m amps running fine for years, not in cabinet.Neither ever heats up much so I would not expect cabinet to be a problem normally.I bought ref1000m amps used and I found one...
Aftermarket Fuses Is it just me or does the pro audio and the audio industry in general seem to be very slow? GK once again, as pretty much always, you've clearly demonstrated its definitely you.
Aftermarket Fuses Gk is the poster boy for aftermarket fuses here. That is based on his # of posts on the subject not anything of particular consequence in them.
Newer cars without cd players-what now? The built in hard disk drive (HDD) is part of the Acura TLX technology package, not a base level feature, I am pretty certain. It supposedly tags with album information and art when ripped to, much like ripping a CD to disk storage at home.Album ar...
Speakers for aging audiophiles - What's with today bass emphasis ? Lowering bass levels need not be rocket science. Distance from wall and corner reinforcement will do it. If your floors are suspended plywood (they have some give and vibrate if you jump up and down). isolating stands like Isoacoustics will clean ...
Speakers for aging audiophiles - What's with today bass emphasis ? Is the issue with the Logitech, turntable or both? Also those Dynaudios are nearfield monitors. Is that how you listen when you hear too much bass?Placement and room acoustics greatly affects bass response in that range. Have/can you play with that... |
