I went from Class D to Luxman A/AB - And most of what you think is wrong From my experience with several Class D amps, newer Class D amp designs in general seem to have very effectively resolved the noise issues that can otherwise be associated with SMPS. I’ve seen this with my Class D amps ranging in cost from <$10...
anbody ever hear of an outfit called dynagroove records? That Dynagroove read was very interesting. Never investigated why but those records never impressed me.
I went from Class D to Luxman A/AB - And most of what you think is wrong Bel Canto ref1000m manual indicates to leave the amps on and I do except if away for more than a couple days. I also leave my Bel Canto c5i digital integrated amp on all the time similarly.
Anyone here with Magico A3 driven by Bel Canto Ref600's? We have a room fulll of amplifiers and have yet to find an amplifier that breaks the addage that you get what you pay for. Could be but it would be high end armageddon for sure were a dealer to find that. Most people want value. Having been to vari...
I went from Class D to Luxman A/AB - And most of what you think is wrong Yes lots of good amp designs with various pros and cons out there these days and Class D is now a very strong contender.

It’s a new world... | |
Anyone here with Magico A3 driven by Bel Canto Ref600's? I'd expect these to be a very sound combo with excellent detail yet minimal fatigue.
As good as it gets? There is always a way to make something better the question is if someone who matters thinks it is worthwhile to do it or not.

Tone, Tone, Tone ! Out of control..."tone" it down!
Tone, Tone, Tone ! Music is basically a bunch of structured tones so there you go. Might explain why many people are happy listening to portable devices with speakers. They all can do structured tones in one form or another.
Total cost of ownership - how to reduce it Keep it simple. Also if tubes you have to have a good tube tester to find the problem or keep spares around to swap one at a time to isolate the bad ones. Also good point with tube gear to try and find gear designed to help with tube life. Also ...
I went to THE show and didn't make any friends ... Sound in Capital Audiofest rooms last year was pretty good overall, as it was in prior year in same venue. Can’t all be winners but various good sounds to choose from at various prices, some top notch. Many overpriced for the sound delivered, more...
Anyone else notice rating scales are getting inflated? High end fuses should automatically get that 11 rating. |
