Is there any "audiophile grade" Reggae out there on CD?
Bob Marley's "Catch a Fire"   is a good place to start.I have several Reggae-centric  compilations on CD I could suggest that provide very nice treats for any Reggae friendly audiophile.
Differences between cd transports?
Hey Reb, hope all is well. Many things might account for one digital source sounding different than another. Jitter is probably the most common culprit. Some DACs can correct for that, others not. Assuming transports are working properly, there is...
An encounter and lesson in speaker prices ...
What audioman said is pretty much the main thing one needs to realize to have any chance of explaining why people make the sound choices they do. The second thing behind the variable metrics of human hearing is the even greater variability of how ...

Klipsch!. The worst speaker company, EVER?
Right the company and product that has managed to be around the longest is the worst.

A New? Way to Buy Loudspeakers??

A little Patience sometimes pays off! (Kef LS50 content)
The ls50’s are very good, very high quality speakers, but are small and have limited bass extension. I find they are also not as inefficient as some similar but also not the easiest load to drive so a beefy amp with higher current delivery potenti...

Is there a standard for number of LP's per inch?
Take a few samples from your collection to see how many per inch.   Then use the average per inch X # inches total and there is your estimate.I'd separate out box sets if you can and count or estimate those separately.
Dumb lo-fi question.
The last paragraph of what millercarbon said is what matters. The amp will work harder driving 4 speakers compared to 2 so if you try to go as loud with 4 versus two, you will probably find the sound quality deteriorates and the amp will start to ...

If you have interest in huge sweet spot listening from any location in the room consider OHM https://ohmspeaker.com  something a bit different. That is what I use in similar room. ls50s are too small for larger rooms. I tried them there and was si...
