KEF-LS50 with REL T-Zero? Anyone?
I use a Klipsch sw308 sub with my ls50s and this is a very good pairing, if you can still find one.The sw308 has 8" main driver and two 8" passive radiators and delivers a lot of detailed bass from a relatively small package.   Results are top not...
Abbey Road 50th Anniversary
Bass was very good with this version much like the others I have heard over the years.
Need Perfect Speakers for Acoustically Hostile Placement
If there is room up there keep the speakers small and maybe put them on a small pair of Isoacoustics stands. That should help bring out the best.

Dep yes and I still have a pair running out on my deck for many years that sound better than ever off a good modern Class D amp (Bel Canto ref10000m fed from ARC sp16 tube preamp).
Klipsch!. The worst speaker company, EVER?
The latest affordable Klipsch stand mount monitors have been getting a lot of consistent praise. Can’t be that bad.....My Klipsch sub works great.
Whats playing on your system today?
I’ve been streaming random play from a friend’s remote Plex music server.  Also checked out the new Abbey Road there.
Unintended Consequences? Digital Streaming
If your setup is more revealing most likely you are just hearing compression that is part of the recording.
What does the term "Speed" mean in a speaker?
Yes.  The amplifiers output impedance plays a role.   It along with the speakers impedance determines the Damping  Factor which determines how well the amp can control the movements of the speaker's transducers/drivers. https://www.sweetwater.com...

Look for a pair of used Realistic Minimus 7s.
What does the term "Speed" mean in a speaker?
Fast with a speaker for me refers to low distortion resulting from minimal time lag due to inertia between signal and movement of the transducers as would be expected with a good combo of stronger magnets, precision machining and assembly of parts...
Abbey Road 50th Anniversary
Bass "bloat" is usually a result of room acoustics and/or interactions with the floor or furniture speakers rest on in some cases. Very likely if heard with the small ls50s.
KEF-LS50 with REL T-Zero? Anyone?
Definitely use a sub with the ls50s in any room. I would only use ls50s for serious listening in small to moderate size rooms. They are small and as a result have limitations but they do what they do very well. Adding and properly integrating a su...
I am Looking for That Elusive 3 Dimensional Room Filling Soundstage
" An important part of the puzzle is every time you add/change/delete/upgrade room treatments you must then reestablish ideal speaker locations. Sorry to be the bearer of bad gnus."No you don’t have to  Debbie Downer, if you just do it right. But ...
I am Looking for That Elusive 3 Dimensional Room Filling Soundstage
Well you may hate to but you just did. From a technical perspective, streaming is a much more robust process than reading data of an optical disk (CD) in real time. All my CDs get ripped first right up front then streamed. Even off my smart phone i...
