More power for moderate listening levels?
If you want to go louder and clearer you can change amps and go for more muscle or change speakers to something that is better suited to 25 watts.  But they won't be Harbeths.
The secret to a great amplifier...
Stick a fuse, any fuse, in a crappy amp then come back and tell us the amp is now great. ..........I don’t think anyone’s said, or even inferred, that.As far as segues go, it’s better than most. That’s exactly what the OP is pitching. if I wante...

That Pass is a good amp but only 25 w/ch.WHat you are hearing is most likely the amp clipping, ie struggling to deliver the power needed at higher volume to those not very efficient but very good sounding Harbeth speakers (if driven to the max pro...

The premise of this thread is totally disingenuous.
KEF ls50 meta’s are on the way
Still no word on when mine on order (Titanium Grey) will arrive but will have both old and new to compare when they do. I keep thinking the old ones are pretty good....new guys not any bigger so how much better can they be? I think there is room f...

See if the Orange magic  lasts as Halloween fades into the past until next year.Come Christmas, a red or green fuse might be in order.
Seriously? Why Buy ARC Ref 6SE? seems Benchmark LA4 is a better choice.
I doubt they sound the same. Nor do they look the same. So there is that. Different strokes for different folks. I have an ARC preamp currently I am very fond of but would also like to try the Benchmark. They are both companies with very good repu...
smaller speakers for critical listening?
KEF ls50s. Problem solved.
Some love for the Benchmark HPA4/LA4
I’m interested in how dac3 HDC sounds different  with and without the separate Benchmark pre.
Sean Connery has passed away :-(

Are the new Ohm Walsh speakers Audiophile quality?
Could be.  Try it and see. Some designs aim their drivers up down and all around trying to achieve that effect.  See the Ohm I, a predecessor to the Walsh CLS design for an example.
Your system quality vs. recording quality
Yes I have recordings dating back to the 1920s of all kinds in my library and I find almost all of them interesting and enjoyable in different ways because my system lets me by keeping added  noise and distortion out of the picture and just delive...
MBL 101 (~1990) - amp suggestions.
I’d lean towards matched mbl amps for large mbl speakers if cost not an issue. That’s what dealers use. But otherwise in general you want a beefy amp with lots of power and current. I have very efficient BEl Canto ref 1000m Class D amps that might...
Your system quality vs. recording quality
Another thing is if you’re system is in the zone and you actually like music most recordings will draw you in not chase you away. If not then two possibilities are something needs to change and/or maybe you don’t like music as much as you think yo...
