Higher efficiency speakers will allow your amp to go further and should help when bass is boosted by a loudness control as well. In theory.....proof is in the pudding. 🙏

Music might have textural density but not speakers. Sounds like detail. A good system overall probably delivers it better. The speakers ALWAYS get all the credit. 😤

Wires and accessories has always been the high profit items in hifi.  That $20 roll of 12 gauge speaker wire you used to buy at radio shack was mostly all profit.   Very little on electronics.  So figure it out.

Oh and hifi satisfaction is a very personal thing. Never pay retail on expensive items without some kind of verified money back satisfaction guarantee. There should be a trial period within which you can return for money back.
