KEF ls50 meta’s are on the way @deetch sounds similar to the sample I heard at the dealer.MEtas will not be first time I went with upgraded/refined versions of an older design. I started with original V1 Ohm Walsh in 1982, and upgraded to V3 ~ 2008, around the time I started he...
Review: Fritz Heiler’s Carrera BE Bookshelf Speakers Yes the devil IS always in the details in this case not a single number across all frequencies but what is happening at specific frequencies is likely quite different. Low impedance and or phase issues at a particular frequency can result in a dro...
Review: Fritz Heiler’s Carrera BE Bookshelf Speakers @hilde45,It may well have been that Modwright headphone amp that was used in the CAF demo I heard. I think it was CAF 2018. 8 watts sounds about right as I recall, and that particular combo sounding so good as you describe at a pretty reasonable v...
Review: Fritz Heiler’s Carrera BE Bookshelf Speakers Nice review. Glad to see Fritz getting some fresh buzz.At their price point, and probably higher, the Carreras would probably be my top pick that I have actually heard for modest-size stand mounts due to their overall good sound and versatility wi...
Discernment is bad. Self awareness is good. They used to teach us in retail sales that when a customer walked in the store, your job was to find out why they did that and help them find what they were looking for. IE listen to the customer and help them solve their problem. Works with pe...
The best speakers over 50K Mbl but only if the right room.
Poor Fritz I spoke with him once. Very nice guy not to mention great sounding and high value products. Have only read and heard good things about him and deservedly so.
KEF ls50 meta’s are on the way @nyaudio98 Well, there is this:https://darko.audio/2020/09/a-short-film-about-the-kef-ls50-wireless-ii/
KEF ls50 meta’s are on the way Oh my........Pretty good omen merely off youtube via bluetooth to my Sangean desktop radio. The live demo I had certainly convinced me to pull the trigger. My old ls50s are playing as I type. No slouches, but....
KEF ls50 meta’s are on the way @deetch nice, keep us posted!Dealer says my Titanium Grey Metas should be here in mid-October.
Parasound's Hint 6's new volume control provides huge sonic advances? So seems like if soundstage and imaging remain solid at various volumes (and no noticeable noise when adjusting), the volume control is doing its job well. The biggest problem with conventional potentiometers I have observed over the year is that t...
Wanting to get back into the hobby and want to start with the speakers. Definitely give the KEF Ls 50 metas a look. Also something completely different: https://ohmspeaker.comIf you can find a pair. Factory has been pretty backed up of late.
Parasound's Hint 6's new volume control provides huge sonic advances? I read the older Parasound integrated amp used an old school potentiometer whereas the new one does not so that would seem to be a significant difference.
Parasound's Hint 6's new volume control provides huge sonic advances? They are not the first to tout higher quality volume controls. Maybe it’s an improvement for their products. Don’t know.I can vouch for the fact as likely could many that potentiometers in volume controls need to be kept clean else audible deterio...
Parasound's Hint 6's new volume control provides huge sonic advances? It’s a good question. I do not have difficulty imagining that some devices attenuate signals more accurately than others and perhaps with less noise but how or why....who knows? |
