Wow, $10k+ cables Attacking others asking questions does nothing to support the case for any particular wire expensive or otherwise. Fact is it hurts it if anything. If one thinks a particular product is worth it just state the case. Avoid generalizations. The ...
Does Michael Green Audio are out of business ? I It appears he “tuned” himself out for now.
Wow, $10k+ cables Wires and accessories has always been the high profit items in hifi. That $20 roll of 12 gauge speaker wire you used to buy at radio shack was mostly all profit. Very little on electronics. So figure it out.
Audio Lessons Learned - post your best advice for the newer members! Oh and hifi satisfaction is a very personal thing. Never pay retail on expensive items without some kind of verified money back satisfaction guarantee. There should be a trial period within which you can return for money back.
Audio Lessons Learned - post your best advice for the newer members! Understand that all recordings sound different. They run the gamut and sound they way the producers intended them to not the way you want them to or think they should. So no hifi will make them all sound the way you think they should. I was going to give my son a system, with brand new Solid Steel rack but he has AirPods??? My daughter just bought Airpods. Gave a quick listen yesterday. Not bad. Very convenient. I wish they were around when I was a kid.
Audiogon Is Still Relevent...Don't Listen to the Naysayers. Top things I’ve learned on Audiogon:1) I needed to upgrade my old Pre-amp. Someone here I trusted told me so.2) discovered Class D amps3) learned a lot about tube gear from many. A lot from Atmasphere and Almarg in particular.4) dispersion pattern...
A stupid question for which there's no sensible answer. At what point is a system/QS good enough? If tinkering is fun, I guess it doesn’t matter. I suppose the answer is its all a personal thing. Whatever turns one on.Tinkering is fun. That said, not all decisions are created equal. The key is to make ...
Mickey Mouse Ears Ok now that the topic has been broached it’s worth discussing what is happening there when one clasps their hands behind their ears. Anybody not hear a difference? It’s a rare tweak anyone can easily try anytime while listening. Need to try som...
