SCAM ALERT ON MULTIPLE CRAIGS LISTS - Watch Out!
That’s good to know about flagging a CL post; didn’t know about that.Itsikhefez - I thought the same thing, that there are deals to be had out there and that this could be a very unique situation.  A few days ago, someone was giving away a bunch o...

Dreaming of a DIY 8W Class A amp designed by Nelson Pass?
Thank you Erik!Tomorrow I'll be receiving an inexpensive Amp Camp clone that appears to be very well made; however, it's only 5 wpc instead of 8.  If it weren't for this thread, I would have probably never considered one of these.  Many thanks!  L...
The 5 stages of making a bad audio purchase
Funny post! But one of the steps that has yet to be addressed here is: Internet Window Shopping. At what point does one go through this stage, or like myself, I am constantly in this stage no matter how content I am with my system.Perusing EBay, Cr...

Beware: New (at least to me) scam being run on Audiogon members
I too, am not seeing the foul play here; however, it does pay to be vigilant none the less. When I sell items on the USAM site, I specify that only USAM members only can contact me and notice at least 25% of people contacting me have newly registe...
Dreaming of a DIY 8W Class A amp designed by Nelson Pass?
Good, as I'm not a huge fan of the chip amps.  I've owned at least 7-8 of them with different chips and while they all sound pretty amazing, in the end, they alll seem somewhat sterile and lifeless.  IMHO, they all need a tube preamp to warm them up

Is this DIY 8 watt amp a chip amp?  What about the Nelson Pass First Watt amps, are they chip amps too?I'm looking for an inexpensive SS amp to go with my Museatex AVC-1 preamp.  I have a PP EL84 amp already but don't want to run tubes all the tim...

Looking for amp $1000 or under
I've got Focal Chorus 807V's and while they are 92 db, they really like some power.  I was running them with a high current 100 watt Muse 100 amp and it was very nice.  You can pick up a Muse 100 for $4-500.  For $1000 you can get a nice Threshold...
Forte 1A or Threshold 400A
I'd take the Threshold over the Forte or even a Threshold S200.  I've actually never heard a Threshold amp before, but it's a Threshold - it can't suck, right?
