I’m not planning to, only to visit.  Audio gear is expensive there, at least this one audio dealer on eBay has astronomical prices for his gear compared to buying it in the US.
Class D amps that are superior to all or most?
I think the actual chip used has a lot to do with it too.  As time goes on, hobbyists are finding out which chips are preferred over other ones.  Like the 3116, 3118, 7297 as opposed to the earlier 3886.Check out the Fleawatts by Derek Sanderson. ...
Jolida JD-402 Tube Tuners
Set it up and it sounds very nice & picks up stations cleanly.  AM doesn’t pick up anything, even with an antenna.  I’ll try a different AM antenna.  The FM antenna is just a thin wire too.  I have no remote so I cannot store or recall station...

I’m getting one later today without the remote, but I basically listen to 2 stations in Philadelphia anyway and they are right next to each other.  I’ll post my impressions later.  Looking forward to hearing it :)

** condosound - I’m just having fun with it, trying out different combos & enjoying the process, not that I need to try out different things. As I mentioned above, tube gear is my preference and when I have it, I’m generally a lot more satisfi...

hilde45 - it’s 2021, it’s a very confusing time; maybe we want to identify as sluts and whores? :)

Thank you all for weighing in here;  I got a really good laugh reading your comments. :)To expand on my listening preferences, I’m a tube guy at heart but I think SS, and in particular, British shoe box sized integrated amps can be so cool that I ...
What are the sexiest components ever made?
I think small components are great looking, like those shoe box sized British integrated amps.  The Meridian stuff was always great looking, also dig that Italian designed triangular shaped Yamaha cassette deck and Nakamichi made one as well.  The...

Help for an Old School Audiophile
It is a time capsule, for sure. Russ, thanks for the advice, I’m getting that inclination as well as I just acquired a rare Ariston RD80SL turntable and have been enjoying spinning records again.
