amp repair cost too high??
I’m about to drop off my tube integrated for a recap. It’s 15yr old now so it’s about time for a cap refresh before something goes out taking the output xfromers with it. A few resistors have gotten noisy as well. Its all about system synergy, my ...
wilson benesch precision p3.0 thoughts
FWIW, I still own the ACT (Carbon Fiber) version and use Graaf GM 50B (50w/ch) integrated amplifier and have no desire to go for a more powerful amplifier. P3.0 has similar specs to the ACT. I echo Greg’s comments. WB speakers are very transparent...

Step up from Nakamichi 582 tape deck?
680zx is definitely a huge step up from 582. My personal experience, 680zx playback sound is very close to 1000zxl. It has auto record calibration and don’t forget the gorgeous meters on it. The only thing missing is Dolby C
Power amps into surge protector/Conditioner or DIRECT to wall? Final verdict?
FWIW I plug my tube integrated 50W PP amp into ExactPower EP15A. It sounds very good to my ears. Comparing to plugging into the wall, EP15A does lower the noise floor (blacker background) and voltage is rock-steady @ 120V and offers surge protecti...
