Grateful Dead Dave's Pick's Volume 48 ......time to put a fork in this !
They've released a number of complete shows from May '77 on CD and LP boxes, but no full boxes of that Florida one from DP3; I'd like to hear that, too.
Was 1971 the high point of popular music?
As long as somebody thinks 'their' year is the best, then it is. For them. I'm 72 and have been tired of much 60's and 70's music for decades now. I try to keep up with what is going on currently, to greater or lesser success. My favorite genre t...

Jazz LP Audiophile Recommendations
If you can find a Vinyl Me Please box of 'Miles Davis - the Electric Years', those sound superb; many prefer them to the MoFi versions...
Does it bother you when you see inflated MSRP’s for used gear on AG?
I have not knowingly experienced this when looking for items I was interested in....
Nowhere to hear speakers and amps anymore!
@aldermine - the unfortunate thing about Audio Vision is you don't get all day to audition as much as you want for your $250. I got to audition 3 speakers (plus the ones I brought in as reference) for an hour or so in total. Fortunately, I found s...

Aggrivated tinnitus from speakers?
@daveteauk - totally agree with you, but I gave up on being frustrated or irritated by it a long time ago; it will never get better.
Nowhere to hear speakers and amps anymore!
@qwaszxxx - there is that about Audiovision, but the $250 charge will minimize people wanting to waste their time and effort setting things up but who have no intention of buying anything, so I'll cut 'em slack there. I paid the $250 fee but I kn...
Black Pumas On Tour Now
A great many people HAVE heard of them and there is a real buzz about them - good for them...
Choosing Inexpensive Headphone Cable and Other Possible Modifications
Price depends on the type and the length, of course, but I've gotten reasonably priced, good quality Black Dragon headphone cables from Moon Audio.
Nowhere to hear speakers and amps anymore!
@simonmoon - House of Music, on Harriet St, is gone... Not sure about Elite Audio, but says Appt Only on their website. By far the biggest in San Francisco are Music Lovers and Audio Vision (they have a pretty huge selection of all kinds of high-...

Nowhere to hear speakers and amps anymore!
@aldermine - Audio desert? I've lived in San Francisco since 1973 and just a few months ago auditioned (along with a few others) Marten speakers at Audio Vision in San Francisco. There is also Music Lovers Audio in both San Francisco and Berkeley....
