Mazzy loves Little Feat!
@bigtwin - I think they wouldn't be essentially the same performance as Little Feat was a 'jam band' and had instrumental excursions during songs that varied with every show, like the Grateful Dead. Set list might be similar, but those shows will ...
AI and the future of music
Just because AI can create music or other art does not necessarily mean it will be good or popular. But if some of it is, I'm good with that; after all, AI was invented by people.
What speaker could safely be ordered without hearing it first?
@stuartk - I dunno - some folks, like me, wouldn't want to deal with returning big floorstanding speakers, returns or no returns..
Mazzy loves Little Feat!
I saw them a couple of times at Winterland in San Francisco, including that one opening for ELO that Mazzy was also at. Great band, Little Feat!

If you want more responses, you might also try posting this in 'Amps Preamps'....
What speaker could safely be ordered without hearing it first?
Auditioning speakers is often not an option for a lot of people, hence their dependence on reviews. But unless you can hear them in your room in your system, it's always going to be a bit of a gamble....Something might sound great at a dealer and ...

Stereophile review of Millercarbon system featuring Tektron speakers
@thecarpathian + 1 - didn't notice any denials from them, just calling you boring.
Most amusing album or song titles
@painter24 + 1 - yes, a Nick Cave action figure would be perfect!
It’s it just me or there are others.
I agree about instrumentalists; I used to enjoy guitar solos, drum solos (well, not drum solos that much), and such back in the 70's, but since then, if a solo doesn't serve the song it's in, they don't have to show off their chops to me - not int...
Fritz Speakers
I got a pair of Fritz Carrera BE's a few years ago after Fritz brought them by my place in San Francisco. They are wonderful indeed and Fritz is a great guy! But time for an upgrade still, and did an audition for upgrades the other day. I brought ...
Does anyone have any experience with Trenner & Friedl "ART" monitor
@robshaw - I've got a pair of Fritz Carrerra BE's; just went for an audition for an upgrade and will be replacing them with Marten Oscar Duo's. Those Fritz's really do come pretty close to the performance of speakers costing 3x as much, but there ...
Aidiogon is Da Bomb!
@rel  + 1 - Nice point! I was even tempted to mention that. Most people don't know about speechwriter William Safire and some of the famous lines that he came up with for others to say.
What's the point of reviewing?
@frankmc195 - but is a review with a demonstration worth much more? You're not hearing the system being reviewed; you're hearing your own system. The only kind of demonstrations I find useful are ones in my dealers' showrooms, like the speaker au...
Has Your Hobby Changed?
To me, the 'hobby' part is the buying and selling of gear. Listening to music is no more a 'hobby' for me than reading a book or watching a movie.
