I'm not absolutely sure how many entendres allowable, but to paraphrase Benjamin Franklin, "the argument that Julian Hirsch relied solely on objective measurements is sound, nothing but sound."

I grew up with and subscribed to Stereo Review, High Fidelity, and Audio magazines, and avidly read Stereophile, TAS, IAR, Sensible Sound publications, etc. when they arrived on the scene.  I have, for years, heard and read many vilifications of J...
Tight bass sub recommendations

High end Dual
High-end Dual tables of the time were the CS5000, CS7000 and the Golden One - all variants on the same design.  None had suspension pods although all were suspension designs.  I own a CS5000 and 3 other Duals at the moment.  For the time the conte...
What unknown musical artist would you like to share with your fellow audiophiles?
Vuyo Sotashe.  Saw him in concert with the Jazz at the Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis last week.  Incredible vocalist.  http://www.vuyosotashe.com
Why so few speakers with Passive Radiators?
wolf_garcia4,471 posts12-06-2018 2:49pmI have never made a port noise complaint.Absolutely beautifully stated.  I would certainly want to to hear them before I forked over my hard-earned (Richard) Benjamin(s).
Which magnepan
Congratulations.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do mine.
Am I using the right speaker cables?
"Known as the Allison effect (after Roy Allison - a protege of Raymond Villchurs)."  I assume this was a reference to Edgar Villchur, founder of Acoustic Research. Generally regarded as the inventor of the acoustic suspension speaker.LarryRS
