Need to know the best proccessor ...........
Mebbe the Datasat but that is not necessarily a useful recommendation since (1) I understand it is a real bear to set up without professional help and (2) the cost of it would better be reallocated to the rest of his system.
Need to know the best proccessor ...........
Another "best" question. Too many variables are omitted. Options range from the Integra DHC-80.3 to the DataSat RS-20i.
Is there any real alternative to Oppo??
With the 103 and 105, you also get very useful streaming features.

12-29-12: Douglas_schroeder:::Doggiehowser, I don't know where you're getting the idea that the Cambridge player is based on the Oppo. That's not my understanding; I reviewed the 840C for Dagogo.com and have owned it. He may have been referring t...
How Much Are You Missing From 20khz to 45khz?
12-27-12: Mitch4t: Kr4, do you think there's any value or advantage for a speaker to be able go above 20khz?I think that it is necessary that speaker response extend at least to 20kHz and have a smooth, well-behaved rolloff above.12-27-12: Don_c55...

No. It is a big but inaudible difference.
new processor decision....help me decide
You can decode twice if, in between, you re-encode. This is rare in multichannel but is possible.
new processor decision....help me decide
Since you are most interested in room correction (sound differences, via HDMI, are tiny by comparison), the Integra would seem to be the best bet, especially as you can up grade to AudysseyPro if you wish. The Anthem comes next. The Marantz lacks ...
Need advice on bi-amping
That 3dB wattage gain is theoretical since the power driven through the LF is the limiting factor such that the additional power though the HF is rarely realized.
Need advice on bi-amping
Bi-wiring is of even less value than passive bi-amping.
Multichanneled amp question?
It will not have any effect.
Need advice on bi-amping
There is little or nothing to gain from bi amping in this way. You can try it and decide for yourself.
D2v vs Classe ssp800, which would you prefer?
The XTZ measures whatever you feed it to. You can feed it to one channel, some channels or all channels. For EQ, use a single channel to develop the filters but pairs/multiples to confirm results.
