Comparison of latest DAC chips
There are R2R DACs that beat Delta Sigma DACs, and some Delta Sigma DACs that beat R2R DACs.  So it’s not so much as the technology type used but the “execution” that is different.  However, it does seem that as you move up the food chain $, R2R D...
Record Cleaning Machines
@andrewkelley if you want the very best cleaner for the very best sonics, get an UC (ultrasonic cleaner).  Since the automatic UC are $3-4k such as the Audiodesk, you'll have to get a manual one.I highly recommend a Kirmuss Audio Ultrasonic clea...
to my ears digital audio does not sound natural? something is wrong!
+1  jjss49It's common knowledge that as you move up the audio food chain, digital audio sounds better.  Trying to make a statement about all digital audio systems based only on a single sample of a relatively (by high-end audiophile standards) lo...

Weird Al Yankovic...sorry, hoping to garner a few smiles during this Covid craziness

Buying a new TT today
For $2k I suggest an Mofi Ultradeck.  Designed collaboration from establish audio designers/manufacturers.  Many great reviews.  If you can stretch to $2.5k,  buy their combo turntable/cartridge deal and save $300 off the Master Tracker cartridge ...
A warm DAC?
@ larseand  - "...Prefer analog warmth and musical"If you can spend up to $3k, take a close look at the PrimaLuna EVO 100 Tube DAC online reviews.  Seems to meet/surpass your "musical" criteria as opposed to neutral, detailed, extended, etc.

Really need some help finding a full range speaker
yeeesh... too many good/great choices $1.5-$5k used or new, you can even choose a used Klipschorn!  Choosing a high-end speaker without listening first is pretty tough, like buying toilet paper during COVID.  So I'll try to stick to "safe" choices...
Looking for phono preamp suggestions
@newtoncr , both Boulder 1008/1108 vs Van den Hul the Grail SB seem to be excellent choices, but they're using different technologies.Generally speaking, in a cartridge the more coiled wire turnings, the greater both the voltage output and interna...
The $20K Soulution Audio 330 Integrated Amp is a Bargain ?
@ highend666 Audio gear often has a "house sound" as the products are tested/voiced by the same individuals who design the product.  Some manufactures such as Magico start with price-no-object goals, then latter try to find ways to cut manufactu...
The $20K Soulution Audio 330 Integrated Amp is a Bargain ?
+ @ speedbump6 "Bargain" is both subjective and relative.  Just because it's priced beyond one's means currently (money flows, times change, fortunes also) doesn't equate to being a non-bargain for all others.  For instance, while shopping for m...
Tube versus SS
How much is lowering the noise floor worth? That’s a subjective question that only you can answer for yourself.I’m a big fan of “more info is better” aka “another data point” (echos of MikeL), so I suggest you can try a power conditioner for free ...
Tube versus SS
@ orpheus10, I really glad that your enjoying your musical improvement from your NOS 6922 Telefunken tubes, audio enjoyment is what we’re all about. However, you seem to be drawing conclusions between apples and oranges. You are comparing 2 differe...
What to buy?
Because of the high sensitivity of the Klipsch  Cornwalls ( 102dB @ 2.83V / 1m ) and Klipsch Forte III (99dB @ 2.83V / 1m), I usually associate them with lower power amplifiers primarily of the tube variety.  Since the OP  Emotiva XPR5 is 400w...
