Horn speakers , high efficiency but not “shouty”
I would agree with Larry on the Charney's they are really lovely sounding speakers and not peaky or shouty at all. I would also recommend the Volti Rival's also a really composed sounding hornspeaker.
RIP Lou
RIP Lou you made thousands of Deadheads very happy for decades bless you.
The Wilt Chamberlain of Audio Gear
I also thought this was about tall gear and nice to hear the name Wilt Chamberlain what a legend. I say nothing wrong with flipping gear constantly if it makes you happy and you can afford it. There are crazier and more expensive hobbies to be sur...
Spendor D9.2 vs. Harbeth super hl5 plus xd + REL Stentor III vs. Spendor Classic 100?
Tomer if you want good stands at a reasonable price look at Sound Anchors.  http://soundanchors.com/
What frustrates you the most about seller’s for sale ads?
If your selling speakers take a picture of them with the grills off. And always a pic of the back of a piece of gear. If your selling tubed equipment list the tube complement. And a good description including the age of the unit if you know it.
Auditorium 23 phono cable for tonearm base to preamplifier connection ?
The only reason not to do that would be the inconvenience if you wanted to change cables at some point. If you're confident A23 is your last phono cable then go for it.
The Most "Analog" CD Player?
Everyone should click the link on the OP's post it's not about analog sounding CD players.
Other Rectifier tubes Alternative for 5AR4
5U4G sounds better than 5AR4, in my amp at least, but don't risk damaging your amp if it says 5AR4's only.
The Most "Analog" CD Player?
Rega should really sue NAD what a ripoff product!
Sugden LA-4 review....the missing link
Congrats on finding a preamp you love that works with your system. Sugden gear is great though I've never heard that preamp no doubt it's special. And very cool system all the way through celtic66!
If you had access to a time machine, what concerts would you go back to see?
Every Dead show from 1968-71.
Paying with a cashiers check? Need advice!
Am I the only one who was on here before Paypal existed? Back in the day, say circa 2000, you mailed the seller a check, and the seller would ship when the check cleared!  Obviously times, and Paypal, have changed things, but with an established s...
Spendor D9.2 vs. Harbeth super hl5 plus xd + REL Stentor III vs. Spendor Classic 100?
I also agree with prof and of the OP's listed speakers and Classic 100s would be my choice. @noromance How far do you think they need to be from the wall? 36" is a pretty good distance in my experience.

Check in: How quickly are streamers and servers evolving?
Here is the thing about streamers,  they are digital networked devices and software driven. So just like your computer/phone/ipad getting updates from Microsoft/Apple etc your streaming hardware company does the same. Or should do the same. I have...
