What's the market these days for NOS 70's/80's cartridges and/or tonearms?
Well specifically SME tonearms, SME won't sell tonearms anymore so I would assume those prices are rising and will continue to do so.

Good older speakers are just fine and usually represent excellent value. Really very little has changed in speaker design.

The best is the enemy of good enough. My system is good enough for me and that works.

Not sure I'm less obsessive I just got to a point where I stopped flipping gear and worked with a local dealer and got great sound. Since then upgrades have been incidental, tubes stuff like that.
