subwoofer for Maggie 20.1
Multiple subwoofers or massive bass systems about your best choice. And I agree with Duke [so for all practical purposes the subwoofer(s) and room form a system].
Can these speakers handle Neil Young's Le Noise?
Consider horns you will not reach the limits on a horn based loudspeaker like you will a dynamic based design.
Speaker appearance verses musicality.
Facts show audio consumers buy looks over performance .
Hi efficient speaker, bass problems

Hi efficient speaker, bass problems

Filling a 6600 Cu. ft. room
Horns would work best why over pay for a costly dynamic that will be pushed to fill 6000sqft
Can you overpower a speaker
You do not need to over excursion loudspeakers to cause damage to much power can cause voice coils to melt they are dam close to melting in most conventional loudspeaker designs to begin with. So doesn't take much extra to cause damage. 100 watts ...
Grilles or No Grilles
Some loudspeakers are designed for listening with grilles on some with grilles off. Ask your manufacturer.
