System that sounds so real it is easy to mistaken it is not live I don't do the envy game, but I would love the L2030s. Even via YouTube they sound spectacular.
Anyone hear the Class D Audio Mini GaN 5 amp yet? @catluck I'll cut to the chase: some of the most musical amps I've heard in over 40 years in this wonderful pursuit. I have to say that for a 11 year Audiogon member with 100's of transactions to make his first post ever saying how good the a...
Nearly all manufacturers do not advertise/exhibit their product measurements? Why? @rcaguy Welcome to Audiogon. I read both of your new posts and thought they are well thought out. Having both the expertise and equipment to make meaningful measurements to supplement your listening to a piece of equipment being considered for p...
Balanced vs. Single Ended Interconnects According to Ralph (Atmasphere), if both components use true balanced architecture, there is minimal benefit in using uber expensive balanced interconnects. Ralph, if I have misinterpreted the above feel free to correct me. IMHO there is really ...
Large Advents (1974) woofer pops with deep bass. Millersound in PA are top notch and have been in business pleasing customers for 1,000 years. Call Bill at (215) 412-7700 and you will be all set. However, yogiboy's link to simply speakers OEM replacements for $130 is worth looking into. As me...
Pass labs upgrade path doesn’t allow users to speak to one another creating a unsafe marketplace (haven’t sold here since 2011) After not selling any gear for many years, within the last year I have sold two amps and three pairs of cables. At least for most of my ite...
Who is Gonna Buy A New Jeep Grand Wagoneer For the MacIntosh Stereo? A friend has a 2008 Volvo S80 with the optional sound system where the speakers are labeled Dynaudio. Sounds quite nice to my ears. As it should, the original purchaser paid $1,500 for the upgrade in 2008.
Estate sale Fuselier speakers for $370 but I know nothing about them. Actually, now that I see the drivers I think you may be buying into a headache. I would pass if I was you.
Does Equipment Break In, or Does Our Hearing Adjust? @ghdprentice Thank you for that explanation of your history with the AR160 amplifiers, that is very interesting. You have a great dealer. Truth be told it would be great to hear your system. Of course the fact I live in Vermont puts the damper...
100% USA designed & made DAC Schiit
100% USA designed & made DAC I know you asked for made in USA, but if we want to include Canada I am assuming that EMM Labs Meitner DACs are made there.
Does Equipment Break In, or Does Our Hearing Adjust? @ghdprentice I had the experience of breaking in three identical Audio Research Reference 160s amplifiers. Great amps. How did you happen to have three 160s? Did you buy the 160 stereo version and then decided to buy the monos, or vice versa?
Bluesound Node (2021) PS upgrade to Teddy Pardo; is it worth it? Also, can someone describe the benefits, if any, that are achieved by using a Toslink Optical cable between the Node and external DAC? Is there much of an improvement over using a quality Coax?
Bluesound Node (2021) PS upgrade to Teddy Pardo; is it worth it? @malibu457 you can buy a complete package PSU and regulator board for the 2i far cheaper then the $575 that TP is asking. Would you mind specifying the model and seller of the above upgrade PSU and regulator board that you are referring to? ...
BluSound Node and Node 2 I would hazard a guess that Bluesound sells more servers than all the other brands combined, including ifi. And it is sold at such a low cost that owners do not need to "defend" Bluesound product quality in fear of losing resale. So IMHO looking... |
