Perfect Path Technologies: Omega E mat Everyone seems to be debating the best place to put the mats, on top, on the bottom, on the sides.But.Perhaps tim will fabricate mats that completely enclose a unit with a zipper to undo, then put the unit in the "bag" and then re-zip same. Will n...
Kinki EX M1 user comments I wanted the review to be not so great because this unit is tempting me and I have just purchased another. Its funny though, I am a read between the lines kind of person and although I was reading the review really late last night, I came away th...
NuForce STA 200 jeenam, I am surprised about your STA200 sounding a bit hot on the high end, mine was/is not. But the reason I am writing is that as mentioned in other threads the STA200 is fairly high gain, and with my tube preamp I was able to turn the volume c...
No one actually knows how to lculate what speaker cable they need Hmmm, I thought it was calculate, but see your point. Always glad to see your posts, BTW.
Do speaker cables need a burn in period? Note that I hear what we refer to as cable burn in. However, I am in the camp that it is our ears adjusting to the new and different sound, not the sound itself changing.
Tekton Double Impacts evolvist, I am sorry to hear about your unfortunate situation with the DI/Encores. I know from your posts how much you were looking forward to the Encores.
Insider or Outsider? To be or not to be,...? Actually, in a way it might attract exactly the members here who tend to bore us to death, special pass for you to stay gk. Maybe we can chip in towards the $100 for those who we want to vote onto the new island.
Talk but not walk? kosst, actually I respectfully disagree. Quoting MG "A few weeks ago a member here had me take a look at the activity here, pointing out how many different posters were posting on any given subject years ago and how now there are the same posters...
Perfect Path Technologies: Omega E mat tommy, my last post was deleted by whoever. But it was echoing your post that it can’t matter if the gear is on or off, or the four week charging time would start over every day for any gear not left on indefinitely. But before seeing this written...
What is the best system one can make under $5000 It is still shown as current on the Optima/Nuforce products webpage. I remember Audio Advisor was out of them and then had more to sell. I like mine but only have tube amps (Dynaco st70s) to compare it to.
What is the best system one can make under $5000 jl35, I don't think we can say the STA200 is on a closeout price anymore. I would guess that the unit is still being manufactured and Nuforce has decided that the $499 is the fair market value.
Do speaker cables need a burn in period? yes, jl35 that is true. When you change the direction of the cables all the old signals still use to going in the old direction collide with the new signals going in the new direction. Well, you get it, its a bloody mess.
Perfect Path Technologies: Omega E mat Hey tommy, thanks, and one of these days. Have been spending a lot of time above Lake George recently. Long drive from Quechee (near Woodstock, VT and W Lebanon, NH).
Solid State vs. Tubes - What if Transistors came first? glupson, I would like to compliment you on your patience and generosity shown towards Geoff, which as anticipated has yielded precious little in return. But keep up the righteous battle and maybe someday....
Kinki Studio EX-M1 Al,I get that he lives in a hot part of the world, but the sentence immediately before the one you quoted above is "I don’t understand how the amp can feel cool to the touch to some of you here." Just about, if not everyone else has mentioned tha... |
