Redwiki - About racks, shelves... Rushton & Red, I decided against filling the legs with sand or lead shot mostly because the rack is plenty heavy as it is. The rack itself is 34" high, by 26" wide by 18" deep. I forgot to mention a few other things about my rack, first off I ...
Redwiki - About racks, shelves... Rushton...that's my rack! I can vouch for it's effectiveness, but, some tweaking still helps. I use a Cambridge Audio Isomagic Isolation Platform under the turntable, and EAR Feet on the rest of the gear. Solid rack, looks good too. Jeff
Removing Martin Logan side panels Kitch29 wrote me as follows:"Check the site, I looked up the thread with the info and pasted up the URL. If you really want to make the oak, which is very porous, look like mahogany, which is not, you have to use a filler.Good filler isn't availab...
Removing Martin Logan side panels Wow, spelled panels wrong twice in the same post
I live in a large cement room... I wanna die and be re-incarnated Jay. Betcha the bastard hit it rich on the dot-com run up and bailed before NASDAQ fell apart. I'm sure he has every vinyl release know to man too. Following that thought a little further, the SOB is probably well ...
gear Last time I posted my all goodies there was quite a reaction *L* I don't have anything that's not used though, I just happen to have a lot of systems spread out. I'm glad to see others accumulate stuff, I don't feel quite so bizarre now. Jeff
Ok, Here s the list of speaker cables.. Since I own a pair of Martin Logan Quest Z's, figured I'd throw in my two cents. I'm driving the speakers with a BAT VK500 amplifer, and found the Transparent MusicWave 10' Bi-Wire speaker cables (spades)work very nicely in my set up. I bought the...
Ground Loop - New Twist? Good detective work! I think if I were in your shoes, I'd suggest the cable co. attach their cable to a new dedicated ground, perhaps a few feet from your place? A new ground driven three or feet down and used strictly for the cable should decoupl...
wood tonic hurts ? Two parts Vodka, one part Wood Tonic, twist of lime. Stirred, not shaken. Wheel your main rig out, pull up a chair by the water, light up a fine Cuban cigar. Somone wake up, this dream is starting to get a little bizarre...
BAT 30SE? I bought my BATVK30 preamp used here on AudioGon, having never heard or even seen one. Very much out of character for me, but I got so many glowing recommendations from the folks that frequent this site I took the plunge. Quite simply, it's the be...
Monitors are falling Doug, like you I sold off my Apogee Duettas fearing some kid would ruin them. Jeez I miss those speakers. Went to Martin Logan Quest Z's and you're right, poke and prod to your heart's content. Sorry if my rambling on about child-rearing appeared ...

"sandwich" platform for amps Larry, I built a sandwich for my amp, works just fine. I used 4X4 lumber for the legs of the stand, and the top shelf was screwed into the legs. The top part is as follows: 3/4" BC Fir plywood, then a 1" rubber mat, then another 3/4" BC fir plywoo...
Monitors are falling I know you may find this post perhaps a little too idealistic, but here's my two cents. Ignore at will. I had three kids in four years, all the while maintaining a pretty serious audio rig. They were taught from day one to stay away from my stuff,...
Payment by paypal, keep your records Money order, by Fed Ex, is the best way to handle transactions in my experience. So far, I haven't been burnt, I attribute my "luck" to the quality of people who visit AudioGon. I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, and concerns me on a personal ... |
