Is tonearm cable the most important cable in the system ? @hifiman5 Good point. Your cables should be treated as a component itself.
RCA Caps @geoffkait I saw what you quoted, so well put.
RCA Caps I'm saturated in RF, for me the Cardas caps replaced tin foil and have reduced RF noise issues, but have not solved them entirely.
Is tonearm cable the most important cable in the system ? I find my tonearm cable to be very sensitive to magnetic fields and it's the stock cable that comes with the Technics SL-1210M5G. I have not upgraded this cable as it is decent.
review iPhono 2 I enjoy Hans Zimmer as well, Interstellar is a great album.I may have to try a linear power supply now.
review iPhono 2 So you are hearing better results using a Pyramid linear power supply? Can you describe what you are hearing in terms of sound quality? I thought about using a battery in place of the wall wart.
Speakers: Isolation? @toddverrone they are really worth it. My system is full of them.

review iPhono 2 @audiofun What power supply are you using for the iPhono2? I'm wondering if using a battery power supply would remove any noise I hear now?
review iPhono 2 I'm using the iPhono2 with a Koetsu RSP (0.3 mV output). I also use the Lamm LP2 Deluxe phono stage.
review iPhono 2 The iPhono2 is a fantastic phono stage. I just got mine a week ago, no problems for me. Very quiet, dynamic and direct.
Recommedation for Phono Pre for my modest rig I"m using an iFi Phono2 now in my system. For $500 I don't think you can beat it. Fremer reviewed it on Analog Planet recently. |
