Have you reached your end point with this addictive hobby?
Of course, it's not exciting because you get wrong things. You need Studer tape deck and master tape dubs ! As for street begging audiophile style, the sign should not be cardboard but vinyl record, and it should say something like - Need funds b...
Im going to regret my cable question
Well, I took a look at the other site where there is a lot of equipment for sale. There are two cables that might be worth considering. Both are about 15 years old, though. Both cost about 600 USD, I would try and take the price down by at least ...

For this kind of money, which is a lot for cables, you should be able to return them for at least 80% refund. Nordost may sound thin, Cardas may sound bloated in midrange and upper bass. I like the recommendation of Transparent. But again, I have...
Have you been enjoying your Gryphon Diablo 120 integrated ?
Essence separates should be better. There is almost always something better somewhere but you've got a great amp that should work fine for decades.

It appears that it's not only Americans that are that, it's like a wave going around the globe. As for sort of therapy, audio equipment and other purchases, there is no doubt about that. Effective or not, it varies, I guess.

" Done until the next purchase ". Precisely. Right now I am busy getting some spare vintage tubes.

Of course, I'll keep upgrading. I prefer to do it in big jumps too, which means rarely. My speakers are probably the weakest link but I like them a lot and don't want to replace them, I've had them for 25 years.
Koetsu cartridges. They must be something special.
It might've been even better, and that's not what they wanted.
12au7 tube?
For $180 you can get a NOS matched pair of Mullards or RCA black plates, and probably other brands too, I just didn't look.
Analogue front end. You want more weight, scale and dynamics.Where do you start upgrading?
billstevenson, so it is the table more than other elements. Like a tape deck, you start with transport and continue from there. Why do some people resist this simplicity and get too creative ?

Ralph, I am sure you are right, but I only compared Boston mat to the felt mat and the improvement was striking, in fact. I bought that mat, to begin with, because almost every Nottingham Spacedeck owner highly recommended it, and they were right....

Etsuro Urushi..good to know. No one forces anyone to buy luxury items. Unlike some other things. I have to pay outrageous electrical bills every month, as an example. Now this is hard to walk around, especially if renting. There is a number of pe...
Back in the vinyl saddle again.
The beginning of your first sentence is the key to understanding the correct course of action. But only you can know.

I heard about Kiseki. Dutch designer and they are made in Japan, right ?

Yeah, of course I meant that some had a few Koetsu cartridges. They are no longer made. Is there a brand that has a similar sound signature and is quite good, though maybe not as good as better Koetsu ?
