Luxman JPA15000 power cord? @audphile1 , do you have any experience with or know anything about the XLO Ultra Plus power cord?
For Tube Folks... In the '90s I had a couple of amps that used 6550s and I remember Cary was putting them out with and selling replacement Svetlantas (first the Bs and then Cs). I bought eight Tung Sol 6550s that were theoretically NOS from Andy in Michigan and th...
Favorite Album Cover (picture or art on the cover) One thing we lost in going from Albums to CDs and then streaming was the artistic, interesting, and sometimes shocking cover art. It just doesn’t have the same impact for me on a CD disc. I agree with that 100%. I completely sold out to digital...

soft dome versus hard dome tweeters Thanks @everybody for all of the interesting and informed feedback. @knotscott Soft domes tend to be easier to work with, are more forgiving of smaller implementation issues, when you guys refer to "smaller implementation" are you referring ...

Music/Life "Hey Hey My My" was from the 70’s, not the 80’s. I remember that LP, Rust Never Sleeps, it was one of the first LPs I ever bought (1979) when I started buying vinyl instead of 8-tracks. I bought it for the song Powderfinger. I remember that I b...

Buddy Miller on songwriting (and other musical topics). Thumbs up for Buddy Miller!
Using both balanced and single ended outputs at the same time? @steakster , whether the circuit is truly balanced or the outputs are balanced in name only should not have an effect on OP using one pair connected to his amp and the other pair connected to his sub. |
