Which integrated amp for better musicality - Parasound Hint vs Primaluna vs ??? Mr._Mom,You said I "undermined" your opinion as though I’m not entitled to my own, as though I should’ve consulted you first. So who is the one not respecting opinions? I had made no personal reference to you or your opinion in my original post. I...
Many seem to be talking about their last system . Most in this hobby are over 50. There’s your answer.
Which integrated amp for better musicality - Parasound Hint vs Primaluna vs ??? @mr_m Really? I undermined your opinion? My opinion is based on real experience with all three Rogue integrateds. Yours is based on a biased manufacturer's assertion. The CMII is the far better amp. They don't even belong in the same conversation. ...
Which integrated amp for better musicality - Parasound Hint vs Primaluna vs ??? @mr_m,I also spoke to the guys at Rogue before purchasing a Pharaoh. My local dealer suggested the Cronus is the better amp and he was certainly correct. In my system, it was better in every regard: resolution, instrument separation, imaging, bass...

Which integrated amp for better musicality - Parasound Hint vs Primaluna vs ??? I've owned the Halo Integrated, the Rogue CMII (stock tubes), and the Pharaoh. Both the Cronus and Halo are better amps by a good margin. I actually preferred the Sphinx V2 to the Pharaoh as it seemed to have more grunt despite the specs.I'd check...
Horns: Why don't they image well? My recommendation for every audiophile: Build at least 1 pair of loudspeakers in your hobby career. You’ll be a much better informed consumer than everyone who has notJudging by the title of this thread, that hasn't done you much good.
Horns: Why don't they image well? I have Heresy IIIs - a fairly cheap speaker as horns go - and they image better than some 2-way monitors I've had in house. They only require a bit more distance to do so.
End game speakers for Yamaha as2100 under 5k new or used I imagine these would sound stupid good with an A-S2100, given the amp's accuracy with piano:https://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649461306-bosendorfer-vc-7-speakers-with-hornresonator-and-acoustic-soundboards-in-maple-burl-finish/

Advise on book shelf speakers less then $750 These:https://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649465938-lsa1-standard-speakers/ I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if they significantly outperform the Harbeths.P3ESRs and LS3/5as in general are not rock speakers. Why folks keep assuming Harbeths a...
Mild hum/buzz preamp issue? Try running a ground cable between all three components - one between the turntable and preamp, AND one between the preamp and receiver. That's what solved this issue when I owned a Debut Carbon. Otherwise, you might have a bad solder joint in one...
Does anyone think a U-turn Orbit turntable a good entry level choice?... Or not? IMO, the Orbit is probably the best option at the $300-ish price point. I've handled most of the contenders in this range and the U-turn felt the most robust and well-built. One of the most important parts of any turntable is the platter bearing. ...
I am a "Moron" Many in this hobby (just like other hobbies) are incorrigible, doesn't matter how many facts/evidence one presents. That's when you just agree to disagree and each party continues to listen however they prefer. |
