If I could afford, I’d purchase 100% Oswald Mills Audio gear Their Imperia speaker just got a Golden Ear award from TAS. That should count for something. I am now curious to hear their speakers even though I can't afford any of them.https://oswaldsmillaudio.com/imperia
What speaker do you passionately want to demo? I would really like to hear - MBL 101 Extreme- Goldmund Prolouge- Von Schweikert Ultra 11- Wilson XVX
"I have the best system in the world!" An Audiophile's Journey Please read what @dabel wrote before criticizing the title of the article. There used to be a Peak Consult Dragon speaker for sale here but it looks like it is gone now. There goes our chance to replicate his room :-)
How can i improve the sound of Iphone 11? I have a Dragonfly Black with the Jitterbug and it improves the sound of all phones I've tried it with. The Red or Cobalt are probably even better. I also have an iFi Nano but it sounds about the same, it is just much bigger and hard to carry.
Helping a friend build a new system Small speakers are generally harder to drive. It may be good to look at small floorstanders also. Fyne are for example easy to drive.
Streamer vs. new mac mini for 2 channel system I think there are a couple of re-clockers and electrical filters you can add between your Mac Mini and your dac. This could improve the sound. Sonore also has optical networks that will reduce the risk of any electrical noise going into your dac. ...
So I just bought a Hegel H390 and A store near me that has Hegel usually demos them with B&W speakers so that should work great.
Mola Mola Tambaqui I heard it at a show before the pandemic but the whole system was new. The system did sound very good the short time I heard it so the dac must have done most things right. It was also good looking. Congratulations!
One box do it all I recommend the Schiit Ragnarok, even though it doesn't fulfill all your requirements. It costs about $1800 fully loaded which includes mm input and a dac. Just add a streamer and you're done. For example the Node 2i or a Raspberry Pi (I use one w...
DAC Shootout Starts This Weekend That's a really big undertaking!I look forward to read about your impressions. One thing I thought of is that Tidal normally uses MQA. Not sure if all dacs can handle that. Maybe it's better to use Qubuz?
Devore 0/96 - Integrated AMP help If you haven't seen it Stereophile recently tested a Line Magnetic amp and also had the time to try it out for a while with O/96's.https://www.stereophile.com/content/line-magnetic-lm-845ia-integrated-amplifier
Advice on a streamer However, I'm not completely sold on getting a ripper yet, so I might just focus on the streamer. Still up in the air.You don't need a special ripper. Any computer should do if you buy a cheap cd-rom. Mine cost about $50. You do need a hard-drive ...
Bass sensation like a loud car system in home? You can build a room within a room to not disturb your neighbors. https://youtu.be/GFXfAux7wYAJust for bass the Devialet Phantom Gold are very impressive but costs around $5k. That includes a few thousand watts of amplification.
Reasonably sensitive speakers for tube amps, max $2k/pair, new or used If you have upwards of 40w then Fyne speakers might work. Many models in different prices. I really like them but haven't bought any yet.
