Warm and accurate bookshelves that can handle volume
aside from all the shortcomings of the Lintons
Musical Surroundings Phonomena II+ -OR- Moon 110lp v2 -OR- Parasound ZPhono XRM Phono
@audphile1  I set it as described in the manual. I have no idea how to change with the rest and if I tried, I would absolutely mess it up.

I had warm amps or sources. Good speakers don't color the sound.

@pkatsuleas I love the sound, especially the vintage sound, that CDs can't recreate. All the imperfections, background noises, everything that brings it alive.

@pkatsuleas  yeah, I am on the lowest on the gain :) I agree with you, the vinyl has to be clean. I have some that sound absolutely terrible from the most anal, recording quality obsessed musicians. Time to learn vinyl clean for me on the cheap.

@pkatsuleas I did screw up the settings, back to fixing it! So, yes, I found the details. It's super crisp and bright. Is there a way to tone it down to more neutral with the load and gain settings?

I made some gains detail-wise, by re-setting the arm and putting rubber feet under the rigid feet. I also received a Musical Surroundings Phonomena II+, connected it and sounds absolutely bad. I know it shouldn't so I must be doing something wron...

@lewn I could. I would be very pleased to have one. It’s just not in my top 3. Looks matter to me, I am shallow.

@elliottbnewcombjr It's not about liking it. I can like it all I want it's still DJ equipment. If DJs used Linn, it would be Linn. Looks, quality, performance aside.
Qobuz hell
@mirolab  I will definitely check out Tidal. In all honesty, Qobuz could be decent, if it weren't for the connection drops and the lame search. It's hard to believe they couldn't write decent queries that would literally take a day or two.

Technics is like BMW in Eastern Europe. Mostly gangsters drive it so it's associated with them. Technics is a DJ equipment so it seems foreign to a lot of audiophiles
Audiphile Press: Am I jaded, experienced, or has it declined?
"Has too much press devolved to covering only the most expensive gear? " It sure looks like it. People write about what they can afford, what they get their hands on. I watch a lot of youtube reviews, the midfi stuff is way more in focus there. ...

I think your safest bet is Clearaudio - as in no red flags. I like the Gold Note's killer looks.  If you are looking for upgradability and reliability, Linn is a great brand too.
