Who is Gonna Buy A New Jeep Grand Wagoneer For the MacIntosh Stereo?
I'll take two.
CD player suggestions...
I'm very happy with my Audiolab CDT 6000. Big upgrade over my Marantz 6007. Caveat, it is a transport only. A capable DAC is required to use it.
Roger Waters Live Last Night in Glendale,AZ
Roger did have a disclaimer before every gig if you don't care for his rants then f*** off to the bar. For years you know what you're getting from a Waters concert. Great music and political whine. FZappa was the same way. Still love the talent.
Most underrated female recording artists..
Joni Mitchell specifically Hejira. This album features Jaco Pastorious on bass - of course. Beautiful listening. Greg
What’s your latest high-end audio purchase?
So many great responses. The journey continues. I scored a pre-owned pair of Sabrinas. Gave my son the Polk LSIM707s Sold my wheels to get them. Love em. Put some Gaia's underfoot and never looked back. Hendrix sounds better than ever.
Where did you buy your first audio gear?
JC Penney 😆. Then I "upgraded" to a Lafayette receiver. After serving in the AF I special ordered Crown IC150, Dc300 and the 11 band EQ. from the PX. That's when I got the bug!
Why not?
I've used Cullen PC and ic for some time and they're good value and good performers ( for my gears and ears ).
Shakti Stone
I don't have the stones to reply to this but I do use tinkertoy creations for cable lifters. Is there a sea change? Who cares, my cables are suspended and I'm just fine. The dude abides.
My Major System Upgrades in 2022 and Impact of Each
Since I was retired I sold my low mileage car and bought pre-owned Wilson Sabrinas for half the cost of new. I'm loving that decision. My MA312 never sounded so good. Good for the environment and good for my ears. Happy birthday to me.
New VPI purchase
I've had the og Prime with the 2M Black for several years. You will love that table. Pay attention not to set the motor too far from the plinth.  This will strain the belt. Also if you hear clicking when the platter starts don't panic. Some talc o...
Why Purchase A CD Player or Transport ?
I purchased the Audiolab CDT 6000 also. No regrets. Sounds great. Not going to start down the streaming hole at the moment. Lots of good music in house. CDs and vinyl. Less wear and tear on cartridge too.
First impressions of the Isoacoustic Gaia 1’s
I have used the Gaia ll on my LSIM707 pair and enjoyed the improvement. +1 for the upgrade.
Has anyone compared the Heresy to new KLH model 5?
I bought the Model 5s back in January. I have them driven by a McIntosh MA8900. Reason I chose them at first was due to them being a sealed enclosure. It reckons back to the days of my youth, 1976, when I owned speakers with similar attributes. Mo...
If you want the utmost clarity from your CDs
I bought this disc several years ago. It does work but not on all CDs it seems. I did a blind test with my son-in-law with a certain Red Hot Chili Peppers cd and he, and I, could hear a difference in tightness of bass and clarity of sound-stage. ...
Differences the Project RS2 Transport and the (newest) Jay's Audio CD2 Mk 3
I have neither transport but had considered both models plus the PS Audio model (which is 6.5K!). In the end could not justify the cost. I did purchase the Audiolab CDT6000 to connect to an internal DAC on my pre-amp. It substituted for my Marant...
