Anyone Using Crystals?
A sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

Let’s compromise. Good natured mockery. 😬
Anyone Using Crystals?
Come on, people, it’s not like you can just sit them down any old place. Their placement must be precise and specific to whatever issue you’re trying to address. It's easy to place crystals places where they hurt the sound. People sometimes ask me...
Anyone Using Crystals?
asvjerryOK, so I got ’overamped’, But...any effect crystals might have would be very localized, as in the crystals themselves. They won’t act like a sponge in a larger volume. RF is an electron excitation....photons are light ’carriers’. If we cou...

Anyone Using Crystals?
These AA threads on crystals linked below go back even further than the ones Sabai posted. I came out with Brilliant Pebbles in 2003 at the London HiFi Show. They had already been around for a few years. A good time was had by all. Well, maybe not...

People often cite the piezoelectric effect as the operating mechanism for crystals in audio applications. And that crystals improve the sound by absorbing or dissipating Radio Frequency Interference. But how can that be if RF is comprised of photo...
Theoretical cable question
"The reason cables can’t be measured in terms of how they sound are so dependent on the amp the speakers and the room. However, the electrical properties of cables can be measured and may help one decide which ones to try if they have unusual situ...
Tekton Double Impacts
No, actually you can’t have tube components that sound bad. They all sound good. What you can have, however, is people that are all thumbs, people that can't hear and room acoustics that make everything sound bad.
Theoretical cable question
Just to add this little note. In the history of audio almost no one has ever measured cables. No one. Therefore anyone who is only interested in cable parameters that can be measured is going to be very very disappointed. 😥

Himalayan salt lamps like Tourmaline are pyroelectric, no it doesn't mean it's for pyromaniacs, it means they produce negative ions when heated, the salt lamp to a much less extent (I.e., so low it can’t be measured) than tourmaline; tourmaline is...
Theoretical cable question
Not to be too argumentative here, but I believe it’s actually a Strawman Argument to claim or imply that impedance, resisitance and capacitance are the only factors, or even the governing factors, involved in cables sounding one way or the other. ...
Easy free tweak -- dealing with RFI/EMI -- try it and see?
RF is insidious, pernicious and toxic and permeates almost everything. Even though as we now know, it’s really photons, but photons that can travel through solid objects. RF gets into the local house wiring via any number of paths, including, but ...
Tekton room at the Los Angles Audio Show.
Kenny, everone has a breaking point. Lol

corellijetter, you must be off your meds this week.Ouch! Very ouch!  🤕
