New dac
Do you find lack of bass on both CD and Bluesound Streaming? Are you using the Bluesound DAC or outputting to the PS Audio DAC?Did you have this issue earlier-before DAC and CD player?B
PS Audio or Ayre?
It would help to know what equipment you are using, as well as speakers.A lot depends upon synergy.B
Bluesound Node 2 - Next level up
You can by a Node 1 used for around $2-300. The Node 2 DAC is a bit better, but in either case you can output to a better DAC if you like.B
Wow on a CD transport?
It could be a defect in the disc. You did mention that you had trouble loading it.B
Classical Music for Aficionados
Yup, the Davis, Imai version was the first one I ever listened to. I really loved it.B
Classical Music for Aficionados
I remember the David Oistrakh recording. It was on a small label classical company that I can't remember. They rereleased a number of Melodia (sp?) recordings. In any case, it gave me goosebumps.B

martion bullfrogs & orgons
The Orgon look cool. I'd love to hear them.B

I use it and so does The Memory Player. If a $40K machine uses it, it must be pretty good.B
Vandersteen VLR Wood ..any love for these?
Unless they are super cheap (under $500), I would wait for a pair of VLR wood.Mr. V. constantly upgrades the innards, so the more recent edition will have the most current sound (compared to new).B
Experimenting with Speaker Room Placement
My rooms are furnished heavily with bookcases, drapery, venetian blinds and area rugs. So, reflections are pretty much a non-issue.Barring that, perhaps hanging an area rug or a moving blanket(that would be a temporary fix to see if it made a diff...
LPS for Verizon Fios Router
Where did you end up getting it?B
Laufer Teknik Memory Player 64 - I've Finally Found What I've Been Looking For!
I am thinking of trying the software and perhaps a Mini.Has anyone experience with the Mini?B
Soooooooo many possibilities...!
Yes, the MP-3 does have a remote.Call Ralph at Atma-Sphere.An Ayre KX-R or KX-5 would also work.B
Experimenting with Speaker Room Placement
My room is similar to yours, and I did the same thing initially.I ended up placing my speakers at the middle of the room-using the shorter wall. The sound is very good, with almost no bass nodes. It also looks good, as this is the division between ...
