Wireless to Ethernet Adapter for DAC Yup, I use a Netgear WNCE 300, to get a 5ghz signal to my aged Bluesound Node (only 2.5 ghz capable). It works like a charm.I am thinking of wiring the house, as it isn't very hard, thankfully. But, I can't say if it sounds better. What I can say ...

Which power cords should I look at? Zu cables, of which I own a number of, are very good considering their cost. I doubt aberyclark will be disappointed. And, yes, they do require some time to 'break in'.B
Back to the drawing board I still think the Vandy subs w/crossover are the least intrusive way to add subs to a system. Simple and elegant.Mind you, I also own a pair of HSU subs (forget the model-VHS-1?), but the 2wq's are so much more seamless. I'll get the Sub 3's when ...
Looking for new speakers @tomic601 ,+1 again. If you could stretch your budget and wait for a used pair, the Treo's would be the best investment. Pair them with the Vandy subs and you can't go wrong-IMHO.I heard Vandy's back in the '80's and never forgot how good they soun...

Catastrophic Accident! What To Do!? @larry,Leave the OP alone. He doesn't have the funds to go to a new amp.Let's wish him well and hope just replacing the tubes will resurrect his amp. If it doesn't, I bet Roger will be able to help him.Bob

DC Offset Blocker/Killer - where to buy in the USA @tomiiv, I agree. For the electronically inclined, it is a walk in the park. But, those of us with limited skills (well, I can solder pretty well), seeing the list of items needed and putting them in the proper order makes me a bit uneasy. Mostly ...
Which Class D Amplifier? PS Audio, Ghent, Nord, Merrill or other??? @georgehifi ,Similar or better.Knowing Ralph, he is going to surprise us all.(Now Rob Schneider in Cajun outfit saying 'You can do it Ralph').B
Which Class D Amplifier? PS Audio, Ghent, Nord, Merrill or other??? @celander ,The lure of Class D is a more efficient amp. Here on Long Island, we pay through the nose for power-at least it is fairly clean. I love my tubes and SS amps, but if I could get something similar that runs cool and cheap, heck, I am all ...
How important is it for you to attain a holographic image? Just put a blanket over it when you listen and remove when done. I think it will be a big improvement. Glass is terrible due to it's reflective properties.B |
