Which Beach Boys LP after Pet Sounds Thanks, FWIW I started by first buying a used first pressing of Today. It was a real snap-crackle-pop copy, that I immediately retired. So as I mentioned previously, I picked up the the Capitol reissue. I only mention this because, as many of us k...
Well recorded records ... what are your picks? Greatfull Dead: American Beauty, an original or first I believe. Label is darker green. Stevie Wonder:Innervisons, I gave in on this one. It's one of the newer japanese pressings they sell for $50.00. IMO, it was money well spent. Cat Stevens: Tea...
Will any tubes go well with my Accuphase? I have seen, but not heard, people pair Shindo pre's w/ Accuphase. I believe a member has a virtual system that has the pairing.
Jimi Hendrix- Valley's of Neptune A great review from Stereophile. Are you sure about this.
Which Beach Boys LP after Pet Sounds Yes, the Dennis Wilson: POB was reissued by sundazed if I am not mistaken. I may order the Sunflower/Surf's up while I am waiting for the Today LP. The shelves in Borders & Barnes & Noble are pretty sparse, so I will have to wait a bit for...
Which Beach Boys LP after Pet Sounds Thanks to all so far. I figured Audiofeil would send me one of his originals since he has them all. Since he didn't, I just ordered "Today" on the new remaster Capitol LP. I am looking forward to it, but am honestly leaning on the pessimistic side...
Which Beach Boys LP after Pet Sounds Hopefully, I can get some feedback on how the new remastered LP's sound, and start there. It certainly seems like the BB's catalog is deep enough to explore it further. The price on the BB's Lp's are not bad at around $18, but only if they sound g...
Which Beach Boys LP after Pet Sounds Holy responses.I found Sunflower kind of interesting as well. I was going to order it on the new vinyl series through AS or MD. Not sure about the sound quality on these though. My local record emporium was (even though normally fairly stocked) hu...
tubes and rock and roll, good fit? He just makes one of the best speakers, period. I heard the Ankaa w/ an ARC Classic 60 amp, and thought it sounded great. I can't imagine not being thrilled w/ a Rockport and a well matched tube based system. This of course for my tastes, and IMHO.
Thin speaker cable I am enjoying the A23 SC very much. Synergy willbe just as important. Take all the suggestions thatinterest you, and try to audition.
tubes and rock and roll, good fit? I was at Andy's studio several years ago. He had the CJ Premier 12's in there at the time. I heard them, and thought they sounded great driving the Antares. It may be worth asking his opinion on CJ as well. You are certainly in a good place w/ eit...
What's your favorite MFSL Cat Stevens: Teaser and the Firecat LP.
The better Led Zeppellin live recordings on vinyl. Thanks. Just listened to Houses of the Holy Saturday. I forgot how great this one is.
Speakers for 55 watts of EL-34 tube power ? I am driving DeVore Nines w/ 25 watt EL-34 monos, with no issues. Are you trying to stay in a general price range.
sibilance on Eva Cassidy Songbird No question, I also hear the sibilance from this one. I seem to reach for Jen Warnes: The Well mostly for vocals, this one sounds perfectly balanced in my system. This is a Cisco pressing. My Songbird is an S and P numbered pressing. |
