Try Legacy Audio Focus SE. They play great at lower volumes and are easy to drive. There is a pair on here for sale.
Speaker recommendation $10-20K (with some requirements!)
I understand your problem. I suffer from tinnitus as well. I can highly recommend the Legacy Audio Focus SE's to fit your criteria. Big and bold (they play to 18hz) yet able to be delicate and lively. They are also easy to drive. You owe it to you...
Is Not Responding To An Offer Just Plain Rude?
One thing you should take into consideration is the time of year you are responding to an item. This time of year people are traveling and involved in family gatherings (or they used to be ;-) They may not have access to thier Audiogon information...

@romney80I was trying to keep the price modest. ;-) I agree with you but I would also own the VR-55’s in a second!

Based on your desire for "organic and sweet mids" and the type of music you're listening to I would explore the Egglestonworks and in particular the Andra model. I admit I have not heard them other than listening online which is certainly not effe...

When did you digitize your CDs and LPs? I still haven’t...
I just completed ripping all of my CD's to my newly acquired Aurender ACS10. I can't explain it but I get more detail than from my CD transport. I could hypothesize why but that would be a different thread. I used a high end transport btw.
Holo Audio May DAC
Another vote for the Holo Audio May. I have its predecessor and couldn't be happier. I'm trying to avoid upgraditis. There is so much going around out there. LOL!
DAC Choices - $5,000 to $7,000
Another vote for the Holo Audio May. I have its predecessor and love it. Trying not to catch upgraditis. There is so much going around out there!

If you're feeling that good about your system then....Set the controls for the heart of the sun.
Please suggest a really cheap SPDIF coaxial BNC cable for testing if my DAC is working
I second the Blue Jeans Cable recommendation!

Oppo's gone, now what dvd/bluray to buy (Oppo BDP-105d)
dtximages,I have researched various players and I haven't found one that streams. If I'm wrong then that was the reason for my post. I do not have audio out on my Pioneer Plasma so the only way to run the sound through my system is by streaming.
