My daughter pushed my tweeter in-HELP!
Vacuum cleaner hose attachment, carefully applied! How old is she though? Maybe you should make a speaker kit with her. :)
narrow and wide baffles and imaging
There's kind of a continuum of room to speaker matching.<narrow directivity> ----------------------------- < wide directivity ><narrow sweet spot> ----------------------------< wide sweet spot ><less room dependent > ...
Are subs worth the price for music?
Worth the price yes. Worth the trouble.... :) Another story. Integrating subs well is rarely done, and hard to do. My recommendation is first, treat your room acoustics well. Contact GIK for advice. This may improve your speaker bass so much you n...
Sound stage height??
well, I don't know if my suggestions will "fix" your imaging and recording problems, but I do think you'll find some things you like about the experiment. :) And yeah, ceilings matter.
Is there actually a difference?
Depends on the speaker. :) Reasonably good amplifiers driving a very neutral load should sound the same, except for distortion, which amps like Pass deliberately add. I listened to some very good solid state, linear amps and Class D and could not ...

Small or large sub for music
"More important, IMO, is to have a SEALED sub for music."Can anyone provide a supportable reason for this, or is this just an ad nauseum repeating of inaccurate information?  It's a myth, with a completely different issue coming on. Sealed have hi...
