DAC Bandwidth settings The technology matters a lot less than your hearing. I tend to prefer fast roll off, non-apodizing. your own mileage will vary, and is certainly very speaker dependent. Best,E
Luxman Integrated - What do they sound like Oh to be the head of a Japanese car company ... :) Best,E
Luxman Integrated - What do they sound like Hope that may have helped some! It does! That was totally on point, thank you. E
Where is great audio going? - Headphones and Mid-Cost But could I live with a headphone system only?Absolutely not! I don't think we should either! What I am saying is that headphone sales and headphone related gear is volumetric ally much higher than stereo speakers and their gear.
Digital, Low Mass, ClassD, Less expensive, Let it happen! Let's not forget headphones and desktop systems. I'd venture to say more headphone high end systems are being sold than living room stereo. Best,E
Luxman Integrated - What do they sound like You can ask all you want, I'm just saying I'm not sure it's really going to tell you anything... You asked Luxman owners to describe how their integrateds sound compared to other amps "I might have heard." I just don't know if that's actually ...
Luxman Integrated - What do they sound like Surely you’re not going to make a $6-10k purchase based on what others on the internet "hear" out of their Luxmans compared to other amps... Surely you aren't saying it is wrong to ask.
DC Offset Blocker/Killer - where to buy in the USA So to check if this is a source issue, leave the CD player off, and turn on the amp. Let it run for a while. Then turn on the CD player. If that, or playing music from it, causes the error, you have your answer. Sometimes this can also be caused b...
DC Offset Blocker/Killer - where to buy in the USA The DC issues are two different things. DC on your power (110VAC or 220VAC) causes mechanical vibration in the transformer, and otherwise rarely has ill effects. DC on the input terminals (RCA or XLR) is different. Ideally there is none, or very l...
Luxman Integrated - What do they sound like Comparing it with anything else may not be easy on the Internet. Auditioning would go much further. I think I'm pretty much going to have to. :) Best,E
Opinions on Dacs... Listen to the Parasound Z DAC and Schiit. Then if you can find something better in your budget, buy it. Best,E
Luxman Integrated - What do they sound like I found for harbeth owners look out for luxman gear. Best match so far in my experience. I had owned most harbeth 40.2 anniversary now. This really is too funny. I mean, I appreciate everyone who loves Luxman, but it's kind of interesting few ca...
Which technology is a better match for my Parasound Halo A21? The Parasound Halo A series is going to do well no matter what you throw at it in terms of modern speakers. They are pretty well constructed, low impedance amps. I would focus more on your room acoustics and placement. The only other consideration...
DC Offset Blocker/Killer - where to buy in the USA After reading this thread, I am second guessing a similar issue I’m having with an old Arcam P85 where I’ve noticed it buzzing, and the corresponding A85 integrated which has been switching off intermittently with a message that reads “DC Offset -...
Can one use 2 sets of monoblock amplifiers to one stereo set of speakers? You may do this IF and only IF the speakers you are driving allow you to separate the two halves. You may NOT allow the two amplifier's outputs to cross connect. The reason has to do with feedback. If one amp is off even by 0.1V, they will dump al... |
