Long run XLR cables
OP:  Based on the owners manual, page 6, it looks like this is a truly balanced input.  You will be OK.  :) Best,   Erik
Measurement Bias
I should point out that the opposite effect can happen as well. Using measurements and listening to gear can change your hearing. You start to hear music like a piece of test gear instead of enjoying it. I know this has happened to me. I get very ...
Long run XLR cables
Johnny, The issue is on both ends though, and usually it's the amps that don't support it.  Usually, just ask if they use "truly differential" XLR connections.  That will often be enough.   Best,   Erik
Measurement Bias
@carlsbad2  - Absolutely.  There's also the idea of "modernity" bias.  Something something kevlar something beryllium something something...
If you have a nice system why do you really need room treatments?
One useful experiment I think audiophiles should do is to record themselves talking in a living room or kitchen or dining room.  Then listen on headphones. What you will hear in the headphones is all the room resonances your brain is actively rem...
What does Q mean in speaker specifications?
@davidc1  Questions like this are usually best asked at DIYaudio, but I think this refers to the Qtc.  Q is unfortunately an overloaded term in speaker and filter design. The charts here will probably help.
dedicated power receptacles for mono blocks?
Clarification: I meant lift the ground on the XLR input, not on the AC.
dedicated power receptacles for mono blocks?
Monoblocks on different legs can result in ground loops UNLESS they have fully differential inputs and  can lift the ground. Some amps offer XLR connections but only as a convenience. Some Parasound amps come to mind. For this reason it’s worth c...

I am deliberately not wading into this discussion.  🤣

Could Class D really be that good?
@lanx0003 - Thanks for responding to a point I was not making. I was trying to say that the subjective "sound quality" cliches that were made in the 1990's about Class D amps no longer apply today.  All the measurements you point out may be accur...
Could Class D really be that good?
<< sigh>> We really need to move beyond amplifier "class" as meaningful. There are a number of "old" Class-D designs I like much better than some megabuck class-A designs.  The old cliche's about Class D performance have been buried...
Am I right for this forum?
If you dont mix Fuel in your listening habits I’d like you to leave.   😆😆😆
miniDSP SHD integration
Glad I could help you, @baylinor  - You seem to have proven the effects I was talking about, how well-balanced bass output makes it easier to switch music and still have excellent results.
Should Speaker Manufactures provide a Frequency Response Graph?
PS - So long as you accurately publish the methodology you use to measure I don’t see a problem, even if that method is non-standard. Now, coming to poor conclusions based on measurements, that's kind of ASR's bag.  😂
