The D'Appolito, MTM Configuration
Thanks for the extra info, @audiokinesis - I tried refreshing my memory via Wikipedia but it seemed woefully limited on details. Even the AES synopsis of his article seems to indicate he had much more to say about the interaction of driver arrange...
Speaker cable length.
It is unlikely this will cause you any sorts of problems, but you can overcome any issues with thicker wire.  Run 12 gauge or thicker and you should be fine.
Equalizer to compensate for hearing loss - Any success stories?
This looks fairly straightforward, the basic Schiit tone controls should work for you. :) https://amzn.to/48rJLlv
Intermittent audio dropouts when streaming Qobuz Hi Res files on Lumin streamer
Bounce your modem.  Turn it off for a minute and then back on.  This sometimes cleans up path/route issues between you and your internet provider. If you have the ability to use your cell phone as an internet hot spot, try it.  If your problems g...
Luxman M-10x and Banana Plugs
I looked at the manual.  Near the end is a diagram and no, it looks like it only accepts spades.
Measurements for a dedicated line
@dpop - A GFCI outlet senses differences in current at the outlet between the hot and neutral. A voltage on the ground won’t cause this, necessarily. A leak between neutral and ground at the appliance connected would. In fact, GFCI outlets don’t ...
The D'Appolito, MTM Configuration
The MTM configuration can work well, but I think in most cases, steep crossover filters, ideally 4th-order, are a requisite, in order to prevent comb filtering. I’ve heard a few other MTM designs that didn’t have as good of coherence as one would...
roon sound wasn't as good
Was this over Wifi or Ethernet?  What upsampling, if any was done?
The D'Appolito, MTM Configuration
@gdaddy1 - I meant to discuss the web site where they have several pages of news from the Florida show. :) In this particular case it was the Acora Acoustics VRC-1’s that made me think of all the speakers I’ve heard with this kind of arrangement,...
Advice? Luxman C-900u vs. Pass XP22 vs. Ayre kx5-twenty
Wow, your three choices are very distinct, and IMHO not very different in "value." Usually those who go into Pass love the sound and are loathe to give it up.  My suggestion from where you are is really don't buy anything you can't listen to.  Y...
Looking to upgrade Adcom GFA555: Parasound?
I really like the Parasounds, but they can be overly warm, maybe too warm for a background system?  You know what you might really like if you dont need lots of volume is a Rogue or CJ integrated instead.
Measurements for a dedicated line
The voltage drop / 2 method only works if the voltage drop is equal.  It is possible the voltage drop is higher on the hot due to resistance.  Best to measure with a multimeter for the most accurate results.
Bananas rule, spades drool. End of discussion.
OP:   IMHO, rhodium should never be considered.  It's just too hard to grip well and doesn't conduct very well.  Gold had the least oxidation, but I love me the silver plated one's. :) Pure copper is a great choice, but will require regular mai...
Ever have terminated speaker wires crossed/mislabeled from manufacturer?
@ellajeanelle -  Hmmm? It's very useful.  If the OP is concerned his speaker cables have 1 end swapped, just put the battery on one end of the cable and the speaker at the other. :)   @kingbr  Reversing ( + to - ) is usually safe, except in some...
Damping Factor and Overall Negative Feedback.
For completeness, I want to point out that Nelson Pass has posted some interesting articles on when low damping factor amps (i.e. high output impedance) are actually a good thing. I don’t have the links handy but I’m sure they are easy to Google. ...
