Does anyone play two pairs of speakers at the same time?
I used to run Klipsch Chorus II on the bottom with Klipsch Forte II on top of them turned upside down for HT and karaoke parties. The fun was unparalleled as the sound was huge and there’s something about tall sound. But sure I might have given up...
Experience with Inakustik 3500P Power Conditioner??
@nonoise ha I know.  I've seen all the debates about whether this is snake oil, but now I'm just asking for practical ways to really hear the difference since so many people are SO very sure there's a positive difference.  Less hiss in the tweeter...
Experience with Inakustik 3500P Power Conditioner??
Can you guys offer some ways to test (without expensive equipment) these claims of lower noise floor etc?Are you just cranking the volume and sticking your ear near the tweeter?  How are you judging "blacker backgrounds" when there has to be 10-30...
Who uses power conditioning?
Is there a good way to measure this noise?  I use a  Furman Elite-15 PF i 13 and don't know that I can tell any real difference.  I'm in an apartment in Uptown Dallas so it's very urban but I figure my apartment power is quite dirty.  Also using ...
You must be kidding !
Thanks, now my Amazon search history includes "KEF sofa speaker".
Power - where to start? Mains, chords, conditioner, filter?
Can you explain how this works and where it fits into the system? From above:  An alternate route to a dedicated power line might be to purchase a YETI power backup systemhttps://www.goalzero.com/product-features/portable-power-stations/ A fellow a...
Amp "timing" ?
Ok cool now we're getting somewhere.  So the amount of time something kinda lingers like maybe a quick cymbol.  I would like to hear a "poor timed amp" next to a "good timed amp" to see exactly what I should be listening for. Any preferred Spotify...
Amp "timing" ?
I just saw an instagram post by @absolutesound that says this:"The finesse and muscle of the Naim NAP-500 combined with the Focal Diablo Utopia's speed: the recipe for an incredibly dynamic performance with eye-watering accuracy and timing."  Why ...
Amp "timing" ?
Well, I've even read it in Stereophile when they reviewed pre-amps.  It seems like there's a new hot topic of listening placebo every year or so.  I've seen people describe better/worse timing several times and just wondering if this is more audio...
Lets replace my Klipsch La Scala Speakers
They're literally all i want to listen to (my Studio 530s) I mean. Go watch some youtube reviews on this line from JBL.
Lets replace my Klipsch La Scala Speakers
It sounds to me like you just don't love the Klipsch Heritage sound anymore.  I dont think you'll like the Hereseys either.  But, I'm just telling you my experience.  As much as I love my KEFs I have never been so surprised by a speaker as the JBL...
Lets replace my Klipsch La Scala Speakers
Long term Klipsch lover here and owned the La Scalas and I can agree with your assessment.  I never though I'd be ok with a non-horned speaker but, to my surprise, I bought a pair of KEF R900s and have loved every second of them.  They're so pleas...
Kids during audition - aaaaagh!!
I'm not a hugger, but I feel the OP needs a hug.  I hear you and I feel for you.Truth: as soon as I sit down, close my eyes, and press play, my wife will open her mouth and ask me a question, normally related to if I think food is spoiled or not. ...
Thinking about buying new speakers....the Elac Uni Fi5 towers or the Klipsch hersery lll
Oh, and to echo people above.  The Klipsch Quartet or Forte are two of my favorite speakers ever and would blow the Elac out of the water in almost every way.  Find them used.  I sold two pair not long ago.
Thinking about buying new speakers....the Elac Uni Fi5 towers or the Klipsch hersery lll
I'm a big Klipsch fan, but the Hereseys are probably some of my least favorites.  Unless you're looking for big horns, I would look at other Klipsch speakers that will go WAY deeper and sound less honky IMO.  If you're going for that big horn soun...
