Flea Watt Amp: What Speakers Are. You Using With Yours? Recommendations
check out Decware.com - I built their 8" open baffle - using it with my 2Wpc tube amp and very happy.
Speaker Imaging - Do you hear a line, or do you hear an arc??
a lot of it depends on the recording. I have Lynn Stanley at 45rpm and she is in front of  the speakers with the band behind her. Some of my D2D recordings do the same. 45 rpm reissues of The Doors are like being in the studio with them - listen t...
Why do YOU love Vinyl/or hate vinyl
I love it for the process - find the album, get it out of the sleeve - put it on the turntable, clean it, put down the arm, sit in my chair, read the liner notes. One thing about CD's is no liner notes, which is a pain. And I LOVE the sound. I kep...

Tube Amps With Good Bass Qualities
check out decware.com - made in Ill - excellent amps, preamps and speakers. Your speakers MUST match your amp though. I have a small 2W/ch Decware amp with 98db speakers. They sound awesome - at least to me.
High output MC cartridges
i have the Blackbird - very happy with it - using all tubes, VPI Prime and 8" full range open baffle DIY speakers from Decware.

@bdp24 - thank you for your response/comments. I think I'll try something similar. Not sure yet, will need to think about it and see what's available locally.
TT on Symposium Super Segue - slate or maple underneath?
@bdp24 - thanks for your response. So maybe granite floor tiles wouldn't be best?  I can easily get maple and/or other woods here - I live in NC and there are several places I can get solid hardwoods like maple. I have a VPI Prime sitting on MDF s...

Thumbs up for ultrasonic record cleaning
totally agree. I got a CV about a month ago. Incredible. Like having a new collection.
Phono stage for my system?
Decware makes a very nice one - but $1300 so over your limit. I would still check it out. It is well worth it. Also some DIY tube stuff online if you are handy with a soldering iron.
Has anyone finally decided to sell their Turntable and Vinyl collection?
nope. I kept all mine from 60's on. I did get a CD player, but never liked the sound. Got a nice tube amp/pre-amp and VPI Prime a few years ago. Just finished man-cave and cleaning all my vinyl on a new ultrasonic cleaner. LOVING the sound - esp b...
Who makes budget speaker cables which are truly “good” or “exceptional” in quality?
very happy with Blue Jean Cables - even made in US - Seattle - I have a pair of their RCA interconnects and locking banana plug speaker cables - I save a ton of $ on the latter by terminating them myself. Great banana plugs and online instructions.
TT on Symposium Super Segue - slate or maple underneath?
Hi @bdp24 - couple questions for you re: your use of WallDamp- how much did you use - 1 layer? more?- thinking of using baltic birch and something dissimilar, maybe slate as you suggested above - again 1 layer of WallDamp?I guess this could lead t...
