| Phono stage for my system? Decware makes a very nice one - but $1300 so over your limit. I would still check it out. It is well worth it. Also some DIY tube stuff online if you are handy with a soldering iron. | |

| Who makes budget speaker cables which are truly “good” or “exceptional” in quality? very happy with Blue Jean Cables - even made in US - Seattle - I have a pair of their RCA interconnects and locking banana plug speaker cables - I save a ton of $ on the latter by terminating them myself. Great banana plugs and online instructions. | |
