The Schroeder has arrived
Doug that was a great observation. We should all pay our respects to Vinyl-dom on a regular basis.
The Schroeder has arrived
I have the 9" Jacaranda arm. The turntable I am using is an early Redpoint Testa Rosa. I purchased this from Thom when he and Peter had developed Redpoint. I have one their earlier aluminum platters with the teflon top. The Galibier and Redpoint t...
The Schroeder has arrived
In my case lengthy was 7 months. Apparently Frank had some issues with Incognito, his termination source which relocated from Europe to Canada during the time my arm was ready for termination. This just added to what was already a rather long lead...
$6-7k to Spend on Turntable
You may also want to look at a Galibier Quatro table. These are very well made tables that sound and look great. You may want to check out their website which is very informative. www.galibierdesigns.com
Anyone heard Audio Magic Illusion 4D Speaker cable
I have not heard the Illusion 4D but have recently purchased the Clairvoyant 4D interconnects and they are very good. Audio Magic makes only silver cables and they seem to really know how to do them right.
Kubala-Sosna & Meitner Emm Labs Gets my top Vote
Shasta, I agree with your observation regarding the website. I have interest in learning more about these cables myself but do not see much usefull info on their website. They should at least give you some pricing information.
Tally up best preamplifier ever
I have recently had a Hovland HP100 and Lamm LL2 in my system. I felt the LL2 bettered the HP100 but I recently upgraded to the Lamm L2 and it seems to be better than the HP100 or LL2 in every way. I really think system matching is the key but I h...
Here we go again...Silver vs. Copper on P/C 's
Mechans, you may want to try Audio Magic. They make only silver cables and are very good.
Name some full range speakers.
You may want to look at the Reimer Tetons as they go down to 16hz and have very controlled bass. They also have front firing ports and are relatively easy place for large speakers.
Graham and Shelter matching - and other arms/carts
I have been using the 901 on my Kuzma Reference arm and have no inner groove tracking issues. It will go through all the test tracks on the HIFI news test record easily. I have had a Schroeder Reference on order since last fall and am due to recei...
Anybody heard Reimer Teton speakers?
Sedona, I believe that the design of the speaker changed some as well as the source of the drivers to HiVi. I have not heard the early version with Morel drivers but Rick feels that the GS version sounds better. I would imagine alot of the differe...
Anybody heard Reimer Teton speakers?
My version of these are the new GS version with the HiVi drivers and ribbon tweeter. I have not heard the previous version. I think it was the previous version with Morel drivers that was at CES 4 years ago. I agree with Blkadr that this tweeter i...
Anybody heard Reimer Teton speakers?
I have the Reimer Teton's and really like them alot. They replaced the Vienna Acoustics Mahler's in my system. The VA speakers were sweet sounding and somewhat warm but much slower than the Tetons and the bass was now where near as good. The Teton...
How Good is Walker Extreme SST Contact Enhancer
For what it is worth I used Craig Pro Gold prior to using extreme SST and in my system there was really no comparison. I have not used the standard SST and cannot comment on that comparison. I am sure results will vary depending on the system but ...
How Good is Walker Extreme SST Contact Enhancer
I recently put the extreme SST on all my connections including power cords and tube pins. The effect for me was immediately noticable with more solid images, quieter background and increased dynamics. I have spent much more on things in the past t...
