Kubala-Sosna Cables..... I don't get it ?????
I recently auditioned the Emotion speaker cables in my system and thought they were very good cables. Although in my mostly tubed system they were too warm and dark sounding to better my Valhalla's. The emotion just seemed too closed in on the top...
best high sensitivity full range speak under 15k
Forgot to mention, that I also had the VA Mahlers and replaced them with the Tetons. The Teton's have a deeper and tighter bass response than the Mahlers in my system.
best high sensitivity full range speak under 15k
I have the Reimer Tetons and am using Lamm ML1's 90 watt push pull tubes. The Tetons go down to around 16hz. These speakers will give you full range sound and have a very flat response throughout the frequency range. They can be run on as little a...
VTL, CTC, Lamm, ARC, EAR, Halcro, Mark Levison
I have the Lamm L2 preamp with Lamm ML1's and as you would expect this combination is very synergistic. This preamp provides lots of detail and dynamics but conveys it in a very musical way. Even though the output is solid state it does not sound ...
Phonostage pairing?
You may want to check out the new Artemis Phono stage. It comes in two versions MM and MC. There is a provison for easy change of resistor values for loading. This is a great sounding phono stage which IMHO is an excellent value.
Does Lamm L1 sounds as sweet as Lamm LL2 ???
I went from the LL2 to the L2 preamp and I agree with Rcprince's observation of the differences. I also have not heard the L1 to compare with the L2. I believe there are some reviews on Soundstage of each that may be usefull in comparing. If I rec...

Looking for an incredibly dynamic preamplifier
You may want to check out the Lamm L2 preamp. This preamp provides a very high level of dynamics and detail and presents it in a very natural way.
kuzma stogi
I had a Kuzma Stogi Reference arm for about 5 years and the Shelter cartridges are an excellent match with the Kuzma arms. I have since got a Schroeder Reference which does better it but IMHO the Kuzma is a very good arm for the money.
Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2005
I am sure that there will be alot of analog as most of the rooms last year were spinning vinyl. There are sure to be several Teres and Galibier tables running. I have heard that Loyd Walker will be there with his analog gear in the Redrock Audio r...
Schroeder Model - 2
You may want to check out Galibier Design's website. There is alot of Schroeder information on it. You can contact Thom Mackris with Galibier and get his thoughts on the comparison as he has had the Graham 2.2 and is a Schroeder dealer.
Looking for phono stage recommendations
I am using the setup that Flyingred has suggested, the Hagerman Trumpet and Bent Audio stepups. This is a great sounding setup. Sirspeedy is right as using NOS tubes on the Trumpet elevated the performance to an even higher level. The Bent audio s...
ZYX Airy 3 vs 90X
Lugnut, thanks for your input. The Zyx cartridges seem to have alot of options. I spoke with Mehran and he suggested to me the combination of options that you have. Good to hear that you do not feel it is a very forward sounding cartridge.
ZYX Airy 3 vs 90X
Wrp, thanks for the detailed response to my question. That was great that you had an opportunity to compare the cartidges in your system. Your description helps me in trying to understand the differences. I have been leaning towards the 90X as I h...
