Living Voice Mystic Mat Experiences Cmk,Looking at your pictures it seems the same as my Carbon Mat made by m puck de. in Germany. I honestly think it is just OK. It softens the dynamics. It also gives images a rounder feel if you like that. I tried to sell it w. no hits. How does t...
Living Voice Mystic Mat Experiences Bbenn,Thanks for the response. Pluto is advocating strongly for thier turntables with a copper submat. I have a copper submat on my table & thus I am very curious.
wilson grand slamm vs. maxx2 Thank you for the detailed response. I will have to experiment in my room to know for sure. I know the Watchdog is an absolute necessity in my room with the WP7s. I am sure it will add in any environment, but at what price is the question. More im...
wilson grand slamm vs. maxx2 Onbobgyn,Do you ever find that the Maxx IIs need more bass? How does the bass between the X-1 & the Maxx II compare in terms of integration with the complete sonic spectrum, quality of bass reproduction, and finally the extension. Is the X-1 s...
wilson grand slamm vs. maxx2 Chris,As you know I am getting the Maxx IIs shortly. I have been advised by a good friend to keep my Sub to go w. the Maxx II. I was hoping to sell it to help fund the Maxx II but have instead decided to keep it & test it. I tried my WP7s agai...
The Isolator: the latest rip-off? How about just adding Mass to the arm & seeing how it works. Blue tack or some other & then comparing. quite a lot of people believe added mass in the headshell area will aid the sound. I tried it & worked very well. Especially if you ...
jolida jd 100 and rca command 5751 I am using the 5751 in my VTL 7.5 Sylvania Golds. I prefered them to the Early Mullards. All the body but more definition. Not a huge difference, but enough to make me prefer the 5751. I will add that the 5751 in my system was less mushy. I also s...
Review: Wilson Audio X-2 Alexandria Speaker I will trust you but if you are wrong (laughing) you pay for the hernia operation getting it back. All kidding aside, I doubt I will need one unless I go for home theater. Maybe the ET sub w. the fan.
Comparison ZYX Artisan against Tom Evans Groove ? Ebarker,Having owned a Groove my guess is that they couldn't adjust the Groove properly to match the cartridge. In the end that is why I sold mine. It will sound broken of the load is wrong, but so will any phono preamp.

Dynavector XV-1s What is the REAL story? Sirspeedy,Thanks for the system breakdown. Nothing can compare perfectly integrated bass & having heard RS 1Bs years ago, I can attest they are amazing. My all time favorite system was the same but running w. Carver Silver Seven amps & Lev...

ASL MG OTL 32 DT I just wanted to note, I have the headphone preamp & broke my RCA input jack by having a cleaning stick break off inside (My own doing). Divegent Technology (Tash) was nice enough to send me RCA jacks free of charge for me to switch them out. ...
Review: Wilson Audio X-2 Alexandria Speaker I have listened to the X2 & Maxx II a few times. Except that the equipment was not as good as yours, your review is spot on. Kind of changed my entire audio direction. It is a waste of money to spend tones on equipment when the speakers will b...
JM Lab Nova Be or Eggleston Savoy? Ecamel, How tall are your ceilings. If they are high then bass will be an issue with a smaller speaker. Low ceilings will be a different story. |
