How do you high pass your main speakers? Does your integrated amp have a pre amp out / amp in feature? If so just run the Harrison filters with rca jumpers. I'd suggest the 70hz ones for you. That said, I kind of agree with the folks who say to just carefully dial in your bass array....

How do you high pass your main speakers? You can insert some Harrison Laboratory fMod hi pass filters into the line (RCA) from your pre amp to the amp(s) driving your main speakers. They have hi-pass cutoffs at a range of frequencies and aren't too expensive so you can get some at 30, ...
Upgrade decision, power conditioner or music server So glad to hear that you got these great results with the Denali v1. It really is a remarkable conditioner. I hope you get lost in lots of performances with it in your system!
Was I Expecting Too Much Well judging from the response, this question really struck a nerve. Whatever the exact conversation was between OP and the dealer (FWIW I believe OP), we’ve all been in this type of situation. I normally make the purchase from the dealer that sp...
One of the great things about Vinyl GHD Prentice: That used to be true with me for many years, until I finally was able to raise the quality of sound in my digital end to that of my vinyl. Now both are completely engaging and I get wrapped up in the music on a CD or streaming We...
How should I upgrade? A new preamp with a phono stage or just a phono preamp? Would recommend a separate Phono preamp. My experience with integrated Phono pre's is that's where they cut corners. Plus if you change cartridge or TT at some point you don't need to mess with your system's. pre amp. Good luck!
CJ's New ART88 Preamp The first thing I heard on mine in the first 20 hours was the separation of instruments with each note seemingly hanging in space. I had broken in a GatS2 before that and this was different. It stayed like that pretty much till around the 200 ho...
Upgrade decision, power conditioner or music server Good luck with either choice and please let us know!
Upgrade decision, power conditioner or music server J Salerno, Just to pile-on in favor of the Denali, I'd note that digital continues to improve and change. The Denali will improve the system you have and whatever digital front end you choose. Kind of like getting the foundation in place before ...
Shunyata Altaira Grounding Station ........has anybody purchased this new product ? Once you've set it up please share your insights. Good luck!
Upgrade decision, power conditioner or music server With the Denali everything became more natural sounding and dynamic in my system with a quieter background. No negatives noted.
Upgrade decision, power conditioner or music server The Shunyata Denali would be much better than the Hydra 6 you have. Last yearI upgraded to a Denali (v1) from a Hydra 8 so similar change and it helped everything. For some additional color, before the Denali I plugged the amp into the wall dir...
need amp recommendations for more separation of instruments I spent some more time on this. Nice speakers, by the way!. Some years ago I had a similar pair of JM Labs/Focal tower speakers with almost identical specs to yours. I drove them with a Conrad Johnson MV-55 amp. It was an awesome pairing - very f...
need amp recommendations for more separation of instruments Current products from Audio Research, Lamm, Naim, CJ, VAC, Linn, Pass, D’Agostino should do the trick for you. Probably many others, but these are brands I’ve heard that do a nice job of image separation. |
